Takashi took a sip of champagne, he was presently on the balcony enjoying the view before him, and waiting for Arcturus to return with Soren and his family. He was surprised when the letter from Arcturus had arrived earlier in the month, inviting him for a vacation and also informing that the same letter had been sent to Soren as well.

The elevator door dinged and slid open, both Arcturus and Soren were inside, along with Soren's family. Takashi rose from the table and then proceeded back inside.

"Ah, I see you manage to convince Soren to take a vacation." spoke Takashi

Soren smirked, nodding a greeting towards the Sainamese President. "It wasn't too difficult," he answered. "He had quite some help from my family at home... and Dominick." He glanced at his son, who had ran to the tall windows and was staring wide-eyed and open-mouthed at the sprawling city.

"Cool!" the boy exclaimed. "Dad, come see it!" Without much of a wait, Dominick ran to his father, grabbing him by the arm and leading him to the window.

"Indeed," Soren sighed, ruffling up his son's hair; it was a golden as his own. "Not a sight you see often, huh?" The highest point on the palace was the roof, nearly four stories up. Halvadag's skyscrapers were distant, dozens of kilometers to the south. The palace did have a stunning view of the forest, however, being built on the edge of the city. The sea wasn't far either.

"No," Dominick returned, staring into the distant dunes.

Soren chuckled, patting Dominick's head once more before returning to Takashi and Arcturus. "Play with Arthur, Bastian, and Rose."

"Soren, Takashi, this is going to be the best vacation you've ever had." Arcturus smiled as he poured two cups of champagne. "I believe this calls for a toast gentlemen." Arcturus raised his glass to the rulers that stood beside him. These three men formed the core of the DU, and perhaps it was time they had the opportunity to finally relax. Aiko walked up the the three men and gave a small bow.

"As soon as you're unpacked we can go out for dinner at the Silver Dragon, it's one of the best restaurants back in Ki'Tal City and they made a second out here." She was a kindly woman, and only stood at about five foot. Her hair a deep Raven black, a hair color you'd assumed would dominate over Arcturus's red, yet somehow both Kroviun children had red hair. the children appeared enthralled by the fish tank on the second floor and all of them appeared to get along. While young they showed just how well the world could work together if the people of it took the time to get to know each other.

Arthur ran to the far end of the room being chased by his younger cousin Bastian, leaving Rose and Dominick to stare at all the various tropical fish. Many had come from the sea outside of the Dendellian islands, and they were of many bright varieties, within the tank was even living coral and anemones that the fish lived with. It was a self contained ecosystem nearly. Throughout the space were various paintings of different So'Karsan locations, everywhere from the great Sea of Sand to the Tropical island of Flores.

((We can skip to dinner if you'd like, or even the next day. I'll leave it up to you guys.))

"Dinner sounds lovely," Soren answered, taking his own cup and toasting with Arcturus. He took the drink, as his eyes ran over the array of paintings. The man wasn't much for alcohol, rarely having a drink. Perhaps it was a result of his father's common drinking, though he never gave it much thought.

Dominick and Rose descended down the stairs again, drawing Soren's attention and nudging an old memory into his mind. He'd been eight during one of the worst beatings... He still recalled the fear that consumed him when he heard his father erupt in rage, then stomp down the hall towards his room. Cowering in fear, just waiting for the door to burst open and the demon to charge in. His father's burning eyes, the big, heavy raised fist...

"Dad?"

Soren blinked, shifting his attention from the stairs to his son. The boy had crossed the distance and was staring into his father's face with interest. Soren shook his head, glancing towards their luggage. "Let's go unpack," he answered, "so we can go out for dinner."

The boy nodded and grabbed his own baggage, before suddenly glancing around the building. There were bedrooms on both floors. "Any in specific, Arc?" the boy asked, pinning his eyes on the So'Karsan General.

((OOC: Err... I donno... whatever means less work. :P ))

Arcturus looked at the two, father and son. Dominick really did seem to take a bit after his dad, in appearance at the least.

"Take any room you like Soren, there are plenty. There are ten rooms in this penthouse so there are plenty of options." Arcturus smiled.

*Later that Night*
The Silver Dragon

The group arrived at the fancy restaurant, it was located only a few blocks down the road, just outside the large capital building for the territory. In front of the building were two large statues of Cardohesian Dragons ((Oriental Dragons)), the building was built in the traditional Cardohesian style and it even had a small garden in front of it. There was a line to get in but the guards escorted them through it and they were seated immediately.

"Welcome to the Silver Dragon honored guests." Spoke the maitre d' to the group as he bowed. "We are pleased and honored to have such great and powerful men at our humble little restaurant." The man took a second deep bow. As he did he motioned his arms out and several waiters arrived at the table setting out plates, cups, bread sticks and menu's before the guests.
