Captain Shas-Et-Ko, Rotation Crew Ateb, Colonization Starship Yitnu En-route to System A690-EF54AS, Currently in System AE234-OP0993 ---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT---RED ALERT--- I looked down at the controls, everything was going offline one by one, Transmissions was first to go. Something had hit the ship, radar had picked up something before it went offline. I decided to commence Evacuation. "Sir, are you sure?" One of the crew asked, "Yes. Proceed with the Order of evacuation, Shas, Fio, Por, Kor, Aun. I'm going to lead Incident Unity, All Crew members will be last to evacuate." I opened the short range targeting computers, as the power began failing in several areas and emergency power coming online in the cryo-pods. Without the Pylon Radiance of the Ship's Reactor we'd have to resort to basic tools, everything else would be useless. I picked a place that looked suitable for our survival, if the atmosphere had oxygen that is. But it was better than staying on a dying ship. ---SHAS LOCKED ON TARGET--- Just a little more, Shas, Fio and Por Clans had been loaded into the pods, 600,000 people ---FIO LOCKED ON TARGET--- ---POR LOCKED ON TARGET--- ---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING---WARNING--- I looked over a low power terminal to see the reactor stabilizer had gone overload, and the core was breached, something was firing at us, the hull integrity was failing. ---POR LOCKED ON TARGET--- ---AUN LOCKED ON TARGET--- ---LAUNCHING PODS. TRAJECTORY AI UPLOADED--- .... .... .... ---REACTOR CORE ON RED ALERT. MELTDOWN IMMINENT--- Now all we had to do was get ourselves in the emergency shuttles to guide the pods to the ground, "Go go go!" An Explosion rocked somewhere in the ship, If we didn't get off now we were dead. "For The Matriarchs GO!" We Launched out of the ship, trying to catch up to the pods speeding to the planet. The Starship Ytinu exploded. A large ball of fire and burning metal with a shockwave that sent us spinning around. It took all I could to maintain control. Guiding the pods down to the uploaded coordinates. Sketerra, 0100 Hours, April 25, 314 The Pods had landed about within 400m within each other, making a rough hexagon in the forest and near the riverside. The crippled and destroyed fliers were all that was left, unsalvageable due to the destruction of the Ytinu. The Air, by the chance of luck, was breathable. The Matriarch needed to be woken, we needed leadership. I opened the massive pod containing all of Clan Shas, Walked inside gingerly, and began awakening the sleeping colonists. I sent off two teams of two crew members to two other sites to relay to do the same and send messengers to the others and so forth, they would be noticeable by their blue glow in the dark. This was a Tier 3 Paradise planet, meaning the chances of some kind of intelligence was more than viable. The realisation dawned on me. I stumbled out and vomited on the floor. The others kept tending to waking up the sleeping colonists... Edited by Valus, Jul 3 2013, 10:32 AM.

Sketerra 1200 Hours April 30, 314 Captain Shas Et-Ko Six days. It had been six days since the explosion. The Clans were awake. We had set up basic routes between the pods using basic torches. Everyone was naked, only the crew had clothes, everything else burned with the Ytinu. Currently we had every able bodied man working -- a few people were injured during the landing -- I was on water rotation. We had a few battery tools, one of them was the water tester: Hydrogen, Oxygen, 1.7 Nitrates, common microorganisms. Using the metals from the crashed ships we had materials to build things, first thing we needed was a water supply. And that's what I was doing. Making fires to melt metals to make a trough. It took a while to break off enough boughs to get enough firewood for the metals, but wood was plenty around. It was the metals that were a problem, eventually we'd have to sacrifice the pods for their metal alloys as well, for that we'd need housing, and for that we'd need good wood, and for that we'd need metal alloys, it was a paradoxical situation. But it was up to the matriarchs, Shas-we was still making her decision. I started a fire, a small one at first, in a dug in pit, I had no clue how I was going to manage the metals being hot, what tools we had were too basic, a hammer, a screwdriver. We didn't have tongs. At that moment I just wished I could feel a Pylon's cascade. Edited by Valus, Jul 3 2013, 10:32 AM.

Sketerra 1200 Hours Vernil 30, 315 Captain Shas Et-Ko A little over a year has passed since the accident. The first crops that we foraged from the forest are ripe for harvest now as I write this. We have had little in the way of the local fauna, the carnivores seem to stay away from us. We still have no clothing, seeing that we have no resources to actually make clothing. The matriarchs decreed that the women and men are to segregate, and everyone is all for the happier too, things aren't as awkward. But it's an issue that needs to be solved, tomorrow I will propose to Shas-we that I take a group of men to go hunting for some local fauna that we might tame or skin. The water supply has held up magnificently so far, the Almanian Alloys of the crashed guide craft don't rust and there was no paint after it burned off on entry, so the water remains as pure as it can be. |

Sketerra 1300 Hours May 13, 315 Captain Shas Et-Ko Our huntings have so far been successful, on our first hunt we managed to capture several small animals. Using their skins we were able to make some basic clothing for the women, thongs and tops, enough to cover enough area for all of Shas and Por, but Shas-we and Aun-we think we should take our parties a little farther, as to not completely wipe out the local fauna, Shas Maj-La talked to me yesterday about these hunts. That some animals might be poisonous, or make us sick. We have no telling if they are, the tools we used to see if the plants were edible are useless now, no way of charging them. But I stand strong in my belief that if the plants aren't dangerous to eat then the animals aren't either. |
