Rathenau sets up domestic agenda, lays out the "Six Modernizations"
The eight Premier of the People's Republic explains the outline of his plan for the future, including administrative reform, cleanup of "needless bureaucracy", and sweeping changes throughout the salary and taxing system for employees of the central people's government.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 254, Edition 2022 | Belgrade, Falsea -- A day after Edward Rathenau has named the members of his State Council and half a week after his election into the Premiership, he has given his first one-on-one interview to the Central People's News Agency where he introduced the general line by which he would introduce change to the structure of the State Council and combat malfeasance within it. These two topics were among the group of issues where the Premier spoke on.
Oftentimes before the 8th National People's Congress, many have labeled Beauregard and Rathenau as having nothing more than their signature slogan as key points of their campaign, something that is clearly false as the new Premier introduces his view for the future far more widespread than the ideologues of their rivals, who Rathenau claims as the one that have a limited scope.
The interview took place in Taxxal, his hometown, after he accepted an honorary doctorate in law from the Eastern Worker's Academy of Law. The CPNA has confirmed that the interview was rather impromptu but they were surprised when the Premier allowed himself to accompany them for the interview, lasting for an hour.
The first major topic that was brought up and is perhaps the most looming concern for the central government was increasing corruption in the State Council, especially in state-owned enterprises where numerous high-ranking officials had seen themselves purged following investigations by the party. This increasing trend of corruption in the State Council is often blamed in the failure of the Premier to act, which the Premier disagrees with.
- Quote:
-
"While it is true that political malpractices are rampant in the halls of the central people's government, it is not their fault nor of the Premiership. Corruption exists everywhere and not just here, but also in the party and especially in regional administrations. Corruption has existed for a long time and concrete action has only begun under his excellency former president Blake Anderson and the most honorable former premier Vivian Everett. But pointing fingers is not the way to go. My predecessor is equally known to have been an ardent enemy of corruption despite what many say, proof of which is his dedication in revealing the illegal dealings of the Ministry of External Trade and its subsequent merging with the External Affairs Ministry and I commend him for that. Likewise, I will strive to hunt down not only the tigers but also the flies throughout my term.
Officials in the bottom level are also accountable to national law and more often than not, it is from their that organized crime finds the necessary shield they require to spread their counterrevolutionary ways. The war against organized crime will continue and this time, the State Council shall not be hesitant. Party secretaries and chiefs will be monitored closely in their actions and accordingly, we will invest efforts to safeguard whistleblowers who are being pressured by these brigands so that they may play the key role for preserving justice and equality for all."
The Premier has also been known for proposing administrative reform even before running for office, considering that certain agencies in the State Council were not performing on to par with others and that there were lavish excesses being given to central government officials, something he clarified as well.
- Quote:
-
"Firstly, I'am inclined to abolish the Ministry of Social Welfare sometime in the future. It's a waste of funds and talented manpower necessary elsewhere. You ask me why? because our people don't need welfare, they have an excellent quality of life provided by other ministries such as health and education and housing. Social welfare in a socialist country is redundant and moronic. Second, streamlining the salaries of those who work for the central people's government is fundamental as we've discovered that there's an unequal sharing of funds between the staff of all ministries, we need to make these things clear in addition to cutting off the preposterous tax reliefs given to even the highest-earning officials. Thirdly, I have plans to reshuffle the composition of the Central People's Bank and the Ministry of Finance, whose tasks overlap at certain areas and waste any effort when it comes to passing fiscal policies all the time. "
Perhaps the most important question of all, however, was economic policy. Whereas others have been lax in introducing any meaningful reform and others have focused on such matters entirely, the Premier has suggested taking a middle road in where the economic platform stands now.
- Quote:
-
"The socialist-syndicalist model is one I have admired from the start when Premier Hill first introduced it in the late 80s and early 90s and now that I stand where he once stood, I will say that this is the best model for progress. However, there is also room for improvement. The Falsean economy is now interconnected with that of the region and of the globe, and we must ensure that we have the means in order to improve on this and attract further investment.
Further, some have asked me if domestic consumption should be the new cash bringer for a large economy such as ours, which has relied on foreign trade for growth for the most part since the republic was born. It is a yes and a no. No, because domestic consumption can result to consumerism and deficit especially for a country that has scarce natural resources. Yes because we cannot rely fully on the international market at this day and age, or not until we have a stable trade infrastructure developed. I do not want to see dangerous levels competition both internally and externally, but this isn't to say we're hostile towards foreign firms.
The National Economic Planning Commission will begin drafting the first five year plan in the coming months and through it we will seek to patch up areas where our economy is weak, industries such as textiles and electronics. In addition to this is to further improve national infrastructure to link the whole country together and get it working cohesively. My goal is for Falsea to develop a modern economy through strategic socialism."
Finally, the Premier has dubbed his plans as the "Six Modernizations" which he will carry out throughout his ten years in office.
- Quote:
-
"It is the summation of my goals for this government. Economic modernization; structural modernization; cultural modernization; political modernization; technological modernization; and most important of all, ideological modernization through the creation of a socialist empire."

The beginning of the Premier's "Economic Rebalancing"
The Grayridge Temple of Atunism, one of the oldest religious institutions in Falsea established some five hundred years ago. One of the points part of Premier Rathenau's "Economic Rebalancing" policy is the removal of all tax exemptions allotted for religious institutions since 1977 under Premier Anatoly Gradenko.
by Ferris Alister | Issue 279, Edition 2023 | Belgrade, Falsea -- With the arrival of March, Minister of Finance and Taxation Robert Fife has declared a reformation of the Falsean Tax Code. The amendments of to the tax code became public in concurrence with the National Assembly's passage of the Revised Legal Revenue Regulation of 2023, the legislative counterpart to it which has been in the works since late 2022.
Amendments of in the national tax code centered primarily around the total removal of all tax exemptions in place for both religious institutions and to personnel working under them, which were created under the tenure of Premier Anatoly Gradenko back in 1977. With the removal of tax exemptions, all churches, temples, monasteries, and other institutions will be regarded as taxable entities and be fined a Capital Tax amounting to 20% of their annual income. Clergymen, priests, nuns, and the like shall be regarded the same and will be fined an Income Tax amounting to 30% of their monthly income.
Finance and Taxation Minister says the amendments to the tax code "are motivated by our quest to consolidate state income more effectively, on a greater basis. The Church, particularly the Kalorists and Hadarists, earn a lot just from private donations, so why should they be free of paying?". In addition, Minister Fife has stated that this the changes are part of the wider "Economic Rebalancing" Premier Rathenau drew up in the 2022-27 Economic Plan that was released last year.
Indeed with the recent trend of actions the Premier and the State Council have been undertaking, it has been no surprise that this rebalancing has already begun. In January of this year, we have seen the reorganization in the circles of economic policy as Premier Rathenau announced the dissolution of the Board of Governors of the Central People's Bank. The top administration of the CPG now fell to not to the Premiership as it has been, but to a Premier-appointed Governor, with the 1st Governor of the CPG being the previous Finance and Taxation Deputy Minister Henrietta F. Dietrich.
The CPG itself has been elevated to a permanent position within the State Council, severing its subordination to the Ministry of Finance and Taxation completely. With this new role, the CPG has been tasked with handling monetary policy whereas the MFT tasked with the remainders of economic policy such as areas in fiscal regulation and macroeconomic oversight.
Alongside this, the Premier has announced the creation of the Commission for the Administration of State-owned Economic Assets or CASEA. The commission, as Rathenau described, would be responsible for the supervision of national corporations such as Falsea National Energy Corporation, Falsea State Railways, and the Grayridge Land Development Group. This has been correlated with the shrinking of the Ministry of Industry and Employment's direct role in the administration of national corporations, which the Premier states is a "waste of space". The CASEA will be recognized as a special agency directly under the State Council, forming the triumvirate that shall manage the Falsean economy in the future, or at least the next nine years; the Ministry of Finance and Taxation, the Central People's Bank, and CASEA.
By February, the Ministry of Social Welfare saw itself abolished, with the last minister Jean-Erica Jacobson giving her farewell speech in front of the ministry headquarters in the government quarter in February 19. The budget that had originally been allotted for it has been returned to the national reserves, only a quarter being used to augment the budget of the State Council.
As the year continues, it is expected that the Premier will make additional changes with regards to the state council and "economic rebalancing". Talks of decreases governing spending, especially with regards to subsidies to rural cooperatives, is already in the bullet list of Edward Rathenau. Comrades, the party encourages you to further show support towards the central people's government, together we begin our journey towards the Socialist Empire.

Minister of External Affairs slams statement by Cordilleran Pharaoh
"The Cordilleran Union does not have the right to demand changes to the Ninsk Accords to suit their own views. If it is their desire to reawaken issues that have been buried by the lawful document that is this accord, then I encourage any other nation to not take part in such folly. While Falsea does not recognize the Skien as a playground for all to share still, it has signed the Ninsk Accords which establishes standards of cooperation between all willing parties. Any attempt to lift the restrictions set in place for the preservation of regional stability will not be entertained by us, nor should any other signatory for that matter". The statement made by Benedict Kaufman highlights the shaky stance the People's Republic of Falsea has regarding colonization down south.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 295, Edition 2023 | Belgrade, Falsea -- The Ministry of External Affairs, lead by Minister Benedict Kaufman, has released a statement regarding the entry of the Cordilleran Union into the Ninsk Accords and subsequently, the "Scramble for Skien". And it's none too close to being positive or encouraging, showcasing that the Beauregard-Rathenau administration remains firm on its stance against further encroachment into the Skien by non-native powers.
Instead, Minister Kaufman decried the remark made by Cordilleran Pharaoh Azada regarding the "loosening of strictness of Skien colonization", stating that the Cordilleran Union is not in a position to demand such leeway, especially when it was self-serving to their interests. Minister Kaufman has also made a statement asking other signatories of the accords to not prey heed to the ambitions of Azada, warning that if she was entertained the People's Republic would refuse to participate further in the accords and view current colonial holdings in Skien such as those by Pacium and the Arrese as illegitimate.
And no doubt the Ministry of External Affairs is moving to ensure it has the necessary support for such a bold move. In December 5, Kaufman summoned the Hahkallahn Ambassador to Falsea Vladislav Milosoviç, which lead to the renewal of the two country's commitment in ensuring not only the security of Aureterra but also the Skien, as Sketerra at large. This was followed up by a meeting between Kaufman and Millerainian military attaches, discussing the possibility of broader military cooperation within Southern Sketerra, and additional meetings with Sketerran states such Akitsu and Abere.
The "Scramble for Skien" has long been a bone of contention within the Central People's Government. During the administration of General Secretary Louise Rourke, the region almost came to war following the surprising declaration of Pacium's leaders with regards to colonizing the unknown southern lands. This was largely resolved by the Ninsk Accords, a code of conduct that would facilitate any and all efforts to explore the Skien, but the issue did not completely disappear with its signing, it was merely taken to the side. At least, that's the current line being espoused by the Central People's Government.
Falsea continued to watch with anxiety as one by one foreign powers came to the shores of the Skien, from the Paciuns, Arrese, Carpathians, but following the legal framework established by the collective declaration of its signatories back 2018, the country began to adapt. Even before the 8th Congress, former General Secretary Rourke has stated that he did not rule out the possibility of the People's Republic jumping on the bandwagon and establishing holdings for itself.

War declared on Battlion by Monroe
Battlionese President Amanda Falsey speaking against the Monroe Republic two days before General Sebastian Monroe mobilized the national militia for an invasion of northern Battlion. The tense relations between the two countries, caused by the harassment of the Battlionese administration more than a decade ago, has recently been reignited by the last wave of nationalization of Battlionese businesses within Monrovian territory, to which Falsey has responded to by ordering an attack on Monrovian citizens with police forces which then led to the outbreak of war.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 304, Edition 2024 | Independence City, Monroe -- Longtime tensions between the Democratic Republic of Battlion and the Monroe Republic have finally reached a head upon the declaration of war sent by General Sebastian Monroe to Battlionese President Amanda Falsey, preceding the latest round of issues surrounding the two states regarding threats and actions undertaken by the Falsey administration against Monroe's sovereignty and economic programs.
Both Battlion and Monroe have viewed each other with suspicion since the latter declared it would secede from the former in 2012, resulting from the failed neoliberal economic policies propagated by Falsey which dramatically deteriorated the living standard throughout the country, especially in the outer provinces. Alongside this, Falsey has been responsible for the establishment of a "crony capitalist" economic system which plunged the economy further due to the mismanagement, corruption, and general incompetence of the few Falsey has placed absolute control of economy to. Such factors are what led to the people of what is now Monroe, most of which were ethnically Carpathians, to march to the Thorngrove and declared the province a sovereign state with popular support, renaming Thorngrove to Independence City.
The Battlionese government immediately declared the move illegal, branding the Monroe Republic as a "terrorist hideout" and a "secessionist province", even when the majority of the international community had recognized its status as a sovereign state. For years leading up to today, Battlion has continuously taken aggressive steps to force Monroe back under its rule, utilizing its armed forces to intimidate the Monrovian people. General Sebastian Monroe, the democratically-elected leader of the country, was quick to draw and responded by rightfully seizing Battlionese economic assets within their territory, which refused to leave even after they were given warning.
Most recently, a FoodCorp plant near the Battlion-Monroe border was next to be nationalized, however the Falsey administration sent in its police units and unlawfully crossed over to Monrovian territory to occupy the plant and prevent it from being entered by the Monrovians. This debacle eventually lead to a confrontation, resulting in the deaths of one Monrovian and the injury of three others, and a clear example of the belligerence displayed by Battlion throughout the years.
The illegal action ordered by president Falsey herself has lead to the declaration of war today, which was quickly followed by Monroe's allies in Carpathia, the Arrese Imperium, and our People's Republic. As said by the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Falsea Bernard Thompson; "We cannot continue to watch with apprehension as Battlion tries to enforce its control over the Monroe Republic, and as such, the Central Military Committee has opted to join our brothers-in-arms to the north and assist in achieving the demise of the Falsey administration". When question what assistance Falsea would lend to the war effort, Thompson has stated that the country will be involved in aerial operations and relief support to allied forces for the duration of the war although has stated that naval support is also in consideration through the use of the 3rd Fleet in the Myrovian.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs has released a statement branding the government by Amanda Falsey as illegitimate. In the words of Minister Kaufman: "The Battlionese regime under the leadership of Amanda Falsey has proven itself willing to use coercion and force of arms to take away the rightful freedom of the Monroe state. It is our opinion that such carelessness, expressed in many years since the independence of Monroe, is not befitting for a political entity having jurisdiction over the remains of Battlion and as such Amanda Falsey and her government shall be decreed as illegitimate individuals occupying positions of power rightfully belonging to other, more capable individuals such as Monroe's leaders."
The shackles of capitalism, neoliberalism, and "economic freedom" continue to become a burden to the people of Battlion, and through the small clique which ties them down, Battlion continues to be a pariah in the international community. It is thus the task of the socialist states to deliver the liberation of these oppressed individuals once and for all, and ensure that all threats to international stability are broken through the hammer and sickle. Comrades, let us rally behind the Falsean People's Party and show our fervent support not only to the Monrovian people, whom we share a common bond, but also the downtrodden, brainwashed citizens of Battlion. To war!

Podjazen rebellion denounced; Falsea demands safe passage of communists
The Reserve Fleet of the Falsean People's Navy has been rerouted from patrols throughout the country to patrols throughout the southern Sea of Thalassa following the downfall of one of the country's allies to its southern border.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 309, Edition 2024 | Ztolowo, Podjaze -- General Secretary Beauregard, at a plenary meeting of the Central Committee held yesterday, has denounced the coup d'etat which shook the core of the Podjazen Communist Party and Podjazen nation, seeing the party that has led the Sketerran nation for nearly five decades beaten without mercy by rogue forces of the military.
In his statement, the General Secretary has remarked that the actions conducted by Dovja Arteski were illegal and traitorous, condemning the violent overthrow of communist Podjazen officials. The rebellion, sparked by insurrectionist reactionary forces threatening the stable socialist society of Podjaze, has grown in strength following the defection of the country's armed forces under the leadership of Arteski. Only recently have these rebel forces occupied the capital city and declared the formation of an illegitimate government.
Following the ousting of the real government, Arteski and his conspirators in the Sovereignty Party, a terrorist organization responsible for the disruption of peace throughout the country and led by the insidious counterrevolutionary Karl Oppenol, have organized sham elections that would serve to replace the current figurehead government under Arron Veskij, a criminal that has long been a threat to the country amongst many other enemies of the legitimate Podjazen government.
The sham elections have concluded today, which saw Arteski and Oppenol's political tool seize the government in fraudulent and rigged processes. All participating political parties are but mere facades for a regime pretending to be a "free state" and begging for legitimacy and the sovereignty to rule over the Podjazen people, no doubt with detrimental effects.
An hour after the false election's results were released, the Ministry of External Affairs has released a statement declaring the Communist Party of Podjaza (CPP) as the sole political entity which possesses the right to exercise political power and governance over the country, refusing to view either the new government under the Sovereignty Party or the "Free State of Podjaze" as legal entities. Minister Kaufman has stated that Falsea will "take appropriate measures in order to prevent terrorists and enemies of the international socialist current to gain recognition", which includes cutting off diplomatic ties with any sovereign state that recognizes the "Free State" as a legitimate government.
The Falsean Ambassador to Podjaze Jerome Berkshire has already been recalled from the country. In addition, the Ministry of External Affairs has demanded the immediate release of all members and leaders of the CPP and their handing over to the People's Republic, warning that any judicial or quasi-judicial trial held in order to punish members of CPP for falsified crimes will be met with an "unwelcome, but necessary, response".
Already a spokesperson for the Central Military Committee has confirmed that parts of the Home Fleet have been relocated to southern ports throughout the country. Meanwhile, the Reserve Fleet has rerouted its patrol throughout the home islands to instead the southern Thalassan Sea.
Beloved citizens of Falsea, as our southern comrades face a difficult problem in their path towards the creation of the socialist utopia, it is not only our responsibility to sympathize with them but also lend them a helping hand, for a revolution in one country is futile without a revolution throughout the entire planet. Comrades, with determination and an iron will, the Falsean People's Party shall ensure our foreign brothers and sisters in arms will be free from the jaws of the bourgeois barracuda!

Otafuku secedes from Rylmark, forms independent socialist city-state
Celebrations erupted after city officials announced the results of the referendum, with about 87% percent of the population voting for independence.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 314, Edition 2025 | Otafuku, Otafuku -- Following a binding referendum which asked whether or not Otafuku should pursue an independent course from the Grand Kingdom of Rylmark under the banners of socialism, in which a large majority of Otafuku's citizens have voted in the affirmative, Otafuku has declared itself the People's Otafukian Collective in line with the provisions of their declaration of independence and the creation of a provisional government.
Indeed with their declaration of freedom from the central government of Rylmark and the title Otafuku, one of the oldest cities of the country, has adopted, it is without doubt that it shall begin to pursue a course of socialism in the coming days and weeks, and months and years, to the joy of their citizens. The provisional government under the leadership of Ryota Wang and the People's Communist Party have emphasized the development of socialism as one of their three primary goals.
However such a declaration has not been met with enthusiasm from all parties. Specifically, the central government of Rylmark, which has refused to recognize the declaration of independence by the People's Collective. Ordfordant or Premier of Rylmark James Rylger has condemned the actions made by the "breakaway state" while the Rylmarkian monarch, King Axel Bonde, has said that they shall take measures "to make sure Otafuku remains part of Rylmark". Such callous statements and the stationing of Rylmarkian troops at the border are seen as a threat by the people of Otafuku, which who have begun to ask for assistance from foreign entities such as the Trilateral Alliance, the United Socialist Empire, Carpathia and Moldova, and the People's Republic.
The Allied States became one of the earliest parties to respond, with Emperor Kainan Wolfe stating that they shall pursue a diplomatic agreement with the Rylmarkian government in order to ensure the sovereignty of Otafuku is respected, followed by the fellow Zarocan state of the USE, which has deployed military forces in order to secure the People's Collective from any use of force the Rylmarkian government may undertake.
Shortly thereafter, the Trilateral Alliance, in a public letter written by its governing bureau, has stated that it shall recognize the new state and shall provide financial assistance in the name of proletarian internationalism. Additionally the Trilateral Alliance has made clear its intervention has not been bought about to antagonize other parties, but merely in assistance to another socialist state, and it desires a peaceful resolution that recognizes the right to self-determination of the Otafukian people. It, however, has been ambiguous whether or not it shall assist Otafuku militarily when the situation reaches a critical level.
Today the People's Republic of Falsea has taken its stance regarding the matter, with the Ministry of External Affairs releasing a statement recognizing the sovereignty and declaration of independence made by the People's Otafukian Collective. It has followed the lead of the Allied States, dispatching an ambassador to the new state in order to discuss relations and Falsean assistance to the fellow socialist country. Additionally, the Ministry of External Affairs has warned against the use of force not only by Rylmark, but also "other nations which hope to reverse the outcome of the referendum by any means possible, even military means". In an ending statement, the Ministry of External Affairs has urged the Rylmarkian government to adopt a "levelheaded approach" to the matter and remarked that Falsea shall encourage the negotiations headed by the Allied States in order to secure the freedoms of the People's Collective.

Abere Crisis causes sharp rise in tensions; General Secretary Beauregard calls for all parties to stand down
"I call on all parties to stand down and resolve their differences, and I offer Belgrade to host any talks between those that are directly involved in this."
by Oliver Woods | Issue 320, Edition 2025 | Southrock, Falsea -- In a diplomatic situation that might have ended merely in condemnations and embargoes, and throwing harsh statements at one another, things have certainly changed for the worst as the Kingdom of Abere receives international backlash after its parliament, the Kuvendi, passed a "Morality Act".
An act that bans information regarding the LGBT community, pride rallies and movements, and inappropriate behavior in the public among others. Additionally, citizens from countries who afford the LGBT community their rights have been banned from adopting children within the country while the government has been empowered with the ability to deny visas to foreigners with a "history of anti-moral behavior". This is but one of the string of reactionary laws that are going by through Abere's parliament since the coming to power of the Social Nationalist Party.
The passage of the legislation has been met with a wide range of responses from numerous nations. The Arrese Forseti was the first among those who have responded, declaring the termination of diplomatic relations and an embargo, followed by the freezing of Aberian assets within Arrese jurisdiction and declaring Abere as an enemy state. They were immediately joined then by Antova in condemnation and termination of relations. Carpathia and Moldova followed suit, issuing an embargo and cutting off diplomatic communication, as well as deporting Aberian citizens back to their country and confiscation of their property.
The Hahklallahn Scarlet Council has decried the legislation as well, passing a denunciation package for their fellow Aureterren state, while the Goldecian Prime Minister stated the current government can be linked to the Fascistic One Goldecia Party, alongside a boycott of Aberian goods within the country and the Goldecian Prince Edmund wishing to personally join the protests in Abere, however risky. Akitsu has issued a condemnation and a travel warning to its citizens and is ruminating whether it shall join the embargo. On the other side of the globe, the Angleterran Secretary of State followed through, branding the legislative piece as "garbage" and issuing a tough stance fully backing Isonia's actions.
The Aberian Prime Minister Gjöke Shqipërë responded sharply to foreign pressure and criticism, claiming all those who reacted were "eight year old hysterical girls" and hissing at the "cultural imperialism" displayed by such parties. At this time, the Aberian Kuvendi then passed a decree nationalizing Arrese businesses throughout their borders. This has been met with the Arrese navy being put on high alert and activists in the Imperium clamoring for Shqipërë to be tried under their judiciary as an "international criminal", further worsening the situation between the two.
Yet perhaps in the most provoking incident that would trigger this current high level of tensions, the Aberian Ambassador to Carpathia Kolë Koleki and other diplomatic personnel have been murdered in a fit of rage and vengeance by unidentified militias, of a civilian origin, in the Allied States. Aberian citizens leaving the country were also assaulted although are safe from harm and are being treated. Investigations by the Carpathian government have not yielded conclusive reports, which resulted in anger by Aberians back in their home as they accused the Carpathian government and law enforcement authorities of being complicit with the murders. Such anger was equally redirected to the Carpathian embassy in Abere's capital Lebrazhd, where massive crowds of demonstrators pelted and assaulted Carpathian diplomatic personnel and their security detail at the streets in broad daylight, dragging the ambassador and his wife out of their cars. The Carpathian embassy fell to the hands of a far-right youth group known as the "Traditionalist Volunteers" shortly after, gagging and holding hostage the beaten diplomatic personnel as they issue their demands. Such an attack resulted in Carpathian Emperor Wolfe himself issuing an ultimatum to what the Allied States and other countries now consider "terrorist group", issuing an ultimatum and threatening an invasion of Abere.
With the situation reaching a boiling point and countries resting on the verge of warfare, General Secretary Anthony Beauregard has finally spoken up in a press conference held in Southrock, Falsea, where he was touring the islands.
- Anthony Beauregard
-
The hate laws that have passed the Aberian Parliament without any significant opposition goes to show how backwards the country is and how large a failure the Social Nationalist Party is in governing the country towards progress and caring for its citizenry. They have neglected such a duty and have taken it upon themselves to instead punish such individuals on questionable morals.
The People's Republic of Falsea is abhorred by this puritan bill and strongly condemns the Aberian government, the Kingdom of Abere, for allowing an execrable law to pass unhindered. The "Morality Act" is but a tool of oppression used by the Social Nationalists in order to save face and to attract attention from the international community like a child, in the midst of their country's isolationism and their government's flagrant disregard for the welfare of their citizenry. Falsea shall impose an embargo upon the Kingdom of Abere until such repugnant legislation is repealed and shall demand an explanation from the Aberian Ambassador.
However, Falsea shall not simply condone as well the actions of certain nations and organizations. The lack of protection in the Aberian Embassy in Bucharest which resulted in the deaths of their diplomatic personnel and the subsequent investigation which have not led to the arrest of the perpetrators cast a shadow of doubt at the competence of Carpathian law enforcers. Though the claims that the Carpathian government is purposely involved in this incident are simply risible, I have to say that they have nothing to blame but themselves regarding the ramification that befell their own embassy. On a different note, I cannot even understand the reasoning why the Alliance for Liberty has filed the People's Supreme Court of the Imperium a request to try the Prime Minister under the basis of their laws, which as far as I and the rest of the world is concerned, is certainly not international law.
The exaggeration of the situation and reactions, may I remind everyone, will certainly not deter the Aberian government from rescinding their actions and instead will only serve to empower their arguments further regarding cultural imperialism. The Allied States and any other country planning military action against Abere in particular, are escalating this for, I daresay, bellicose agendas. Similar to the Aberian government, their actions are empowered by nothing more than the "moral high ground" which they claim belongs to them.
I call on all parties to stand down and resolve their differences, and I offer Belgrade to host any talks between those that are directly involved in this. To Prime Minister Shqipërë, reconsider your position and yield to the mounting pressure before it turns into something that we do not wish. To Emperor Wolfe, recall your forces from Aureterra and participate instead in reconciliation efforts.

Trade liberalization measures unveiled ahead of the West Nysan Economic Cooperation Agreement's ratification
Premier Edward Rathenau speaks at the Central Party School emphasizing the need for economic modernization and rebalancing, one of the primary points of his platform. Rathenau is notable for being one of the most vocal supporters of trade liberalization, championing the West Nysan Economic Cooperation Agreement as a method to improve the Falsean trade system as a whole as well as relations with Nysan neighbors in the Mirusi and Absicon.
by Ferris Alister | Issue 327, Edition 2025 | Belgrade, Falsea -- Today marks another triumph of Premier Edward Rathenau's calls for the loosening of restrictions on foreign trade and greater participation of the People's Republic in the international economic arena, both of which are key items on his plans for "economic rebalancing". The Premier has long denounced individuals who were opposed to measures of joining the "global-capitalist hegemony", calling them economic nationalists and remarking that many positive opportunities awaited the country once it began to bypass "illusory fears" and established the tools and other means necessary for this endeavor.
We have seen in the past the build-up that the Premier has been leading, which began with structural reforms in the State Council. The establishment of the Commission for the Administration of State-owned Economic Assets came to be with the task of gearing state-owned enterprises for business and profitability outside of Falsean borders, as we have seen with the expansion of numerous of these enterprises as far out as the United Socialist Empire, Angleterre, Montaria, and Jandrea. The expansion of larger enterprises' activities in foreign countries has been coupled with the creation of new companies that would be more focused towards domestic development and investment, mirroring what some experts have claimed to be as the "two faces" of Falsean business entities.
Meanwhile, the Central People's Bank has been afforded greater independence to its activities and given a direct voice in the State Council. The latest of these structural changes, which has been announced only a week ago, is the division of the Ministry of External Affairs into two separate ministry-level agencies of the central people's government; the Ministry of State has been reestablished in order to handle all of the country's foreign affairs save for foreign economic relations. Such a job has been given to the newly-established Ministry of Commerce, regarded as the successor to the Ministry of External Trade which was abolished by Rathenau's predecessor. Charlie Kirkpatrick, then Underminister of External Affairs for Trade under the Ministry of External Affairs, has been named by the Premier as the inaugural Minister of Commerce.
But what exactly are you we talking about that has the Premier feeling satisfied and successful? why, none other than the passage of the Foreign Investment and Exchange Harmonization Act of 2025 of course, which incorporated several laws regarding trade policy under it and repealed others which have been "choking Falsea and cheating her trade partners".
The Foreign Investment and Exchange Harmonization Act, which has been approved by the National Assembly earlier today, aims to further diversify the country's trade by making its currently four Special Economic Zones more attractive to foreign investors and firms, in addition to molding further domestic consumption in these economic zones. The provisions included for these purposes, among many others, were the relaxation of customs regulations and corporate taxes to considerable degrees; an easier and more concrete outline regarding joint ventures between Falsean and foreign firms; import license grants and automatic tariff cuts to countries with formal trade arrangements with Falsea; the removal of price controls, product quotas, and resource allocation by the central people's government, to be determined now by market forces; and provisions regarding asset ownership such as factories, allowing for full foreign ownership of these assets.
Although the act has been seen by the Falsean Alliance of Laborer's as contradictory to their interests in its first form, a clause that was edited in to maintain labor regulations, in the form of foreign firms being conditioned to comply with closed shop arrangement before availing of the benefits, eventually led to their support. The clause is seen as a foil to the numerous concessions outlined by the rest of the act, as it will be generally responsible for upholding labor regulations such as in the areas of occupational safety and health and matters of wage and salary.
Premier Edward Rathenau praised the passage of the act into law in a press conference, expressing his resolve that it will lead to new levels of growth in conjunction with the global trade web, and at the same time protecting the values of the state. Such a point of view has been termed by the Premier and many other high-level officials as "strategic socialism". In light of the act's passage, Rathenau has said that he has instructed the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government to analyze and give a list of 20 provinces throughout Falsea by the end of the week, which he will then name as "Free Enterprise Areas" affected by the Foreign Investment and Exchange Harmonization Act.
Unsurprisingly, the National Assembly passed the act before ratifying the West Nysan Economic Cooperation Agreement. The WNECA is a preferential trade agreement proposed by the People's Republic of Falsea to the Empire of Akitsu, the Magistrate of Aetherin, the Socialist Republic of Arkiania, the Grand Duchy of Antova, and the Empire of Sylvar. Leaders from these countries such as Akitian Prime Minister Toru Fujiwara and Antovan Premier Kiev Himmler were personally present in Belgrade in order to sign the agreement, which has been discussed since 2023.
Originally meant to be the Trans-Mirusi Partnership between Aetherin, Falsea, and Akitsu, it has grown to incorporate nations in the Absicon in a time where Falsea has sought to improve bilateral and multilateral relations with the countries of Western Nysa. Indeed, General Secretary Beauregard has already concluded state visits to all signatory states throughout the first three years of his term, securing increased defense cooperation with Sylvar and Arkiania and expanding existing diplomatic treaties with Antova. Akitsu and Aetherin were also visited, in which they were confidently called by Beauregard as "strong partners of Falsea" during their respective receptions of him.
It is expected that the West Nysan Economic Cooperation Agreement will hold its first round of negotiations next year, but Falsea has already initiated a few starts on its own.

THE FALSEAN TIMES Your number one source for trustworthy news in Falsea and Oracia, delivered by the Falsean People's Party itself
State Council to uphold new religious regulations following the kidnapping of Falsean fishermen
Officers from the Greyhound Public Security Bureau arrest a young man with links to the Order of the One True Way, which has been named a terrorist organization after it was discovered Fietas was responsible for the disappearance of a dozen Falseans back in December 2.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 330, Edition 2025 | Euretta, Falsea -- Recent altercations that took place in the eastern Falsean Sea have led to a wave of actions by both the central people's government and the party with regards to religion and religious practices within Falsean borders. While freedom of religion has been promulgated since the late 1970s under the leadership of former General Secretary Samantha Jennings, its legitimacy is now being questioned in particular by certain individuals of the party leadership.
This incident involved a commercial fishing trawler which was registered under the seafood processing company Sea Bounties. The vessel has been reported missing following its failure to return to port twenty four hours after setting ail into the open waters of the eastern home island. The People's Coastal Patrol were immediately contacted and deployed in order to locate the missing vessel, after concern that it was attacked by pirates sparked. What they found a long distance from the shore and nearing international waters was the wreckage of the ship, but oddly there was no one to be found, dead or alive.
The mystery regarding the disappearance of crew, which numbered at a total of fifteen men and women, came to be resolved only recently when they appeared in television. Their appearance in media was, sadly, not because they have been rescued by the authorities but because they were paraded in Cynas, the capital city of Fietas, to show their "willing conversion towards the one way". The Holy Kingdom of Fietas is an isolationist theocratic autocracy directly lying east of our motherland that has, until recently, remained relatively harmless. However, with this new incident there is reason to believe that the Fietiese government has changed course
Director of the Falsean Maritime Safety Agency George Rideau said that "There is no doubt that the Fietiese are the orchestrators of this attack on our citizens within our territorial waters". Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the Ministry of State condemned Fietas for its "display of barbarism , blatant violation of the sovereignty of the People's Republic, and the abduction and brainwashing of Falsean people." and remarked that "any further incursion in the Falsean Sea will be met with the appropriate response."
However the Politburo has been keen in declaring its adherence towards a peaceful resolution. Premier Edward Rathenau has already confirmed that, following secret talks between officials of central people's government and the government of Fietas over the last few days, he will embark on a working visit to the country in order to smooth out the recent tensions. The Premier however, has denied to confirm whether or not Fietas has agreed to release the Falsean citizens which have been kidnapped or, as they claim, embraced their faith.
On the other hand, the State Council has announced that it will begin in a campaign to "harmonize socialism and faith" and stamp out religious fundamentalism that threatens society in the People's Republic. To this end, the State Authority on Religious and Ecclesiastical Affairs has released yesterday a new directive that will require all religions to register to it under a new criteria. Denominations of a religion will have to form a single organization or group, which will then submit itself to the authority of the SARE. Religions which fail to register, have less than three thousand followers across all of its denominations if any, and which advocate activities running counter to the goals of the revolution will be recognized as illegitimate entities and will face imprisonment.
Registered religious groups will be required to work with the SARE, which will be responsible for establishing set places of worship, approving appointments, and defining religious doctrine acceptable by the central people's government. The SARE also followed up the new protocol with a ban on public proselytizing or proselytizing done by foreigners. The SARE has already criminalized the Order of the One True Way in Falsea and agents of the Ministry of State Security have arrested small groups of these fundamentalists which were responsible for providing information to Fietas.
In the halls of the Falsean People's Party, the Central Committee has recently begun evaluating a policy proposal by the Office for Spiritual Affairs regarding the status of religious freedoms for party members. Current party policy holds that its members are free to subscribe to whatever belief they wish, however the proposal seeks to ban members from being part of religious organizations.
"The Falsean People's Party in its quest to uphold Marxism-Leninism must stay true to the core. It cannot perform its duties if it disarms itself to fraudulent notions of 'deities' and 'spirits' and allows itself to be penetrated by religions which are nothing but threats to the stability of Falsea. It must not gamble its followers through archaic principles, instead it must remain committed to dialectical materialism." Kiril Ivashko, head of the office, said in an interview to the Falsean Times. Ivashko's proposal, alongside the SARE's new mandate and powers, however, has been criticized by former Falsean Premier Vivian Everett, a renowned orthodox Hadarist. Everett claims that these actions are inspired only by "fearmongering" and has stated that they are in violation of religious freedoms guaranteed by the 1987 Constitution, as they "stripped away not only the independence of religious institutions but also their entire characteristic as a religion."
Ivashko dismissed the claims made by Everett as nonsensical and baseless, citing that the new proposal was being tendered by his office for a long time and has been put forward for discussion only now. Ivashko has also cited that the upcoming National Work Conference for Building Spiritual Civilization to be held from the 15th to 16th of December proves that religious freedom and tolerance of faith still remains despite unfolding actions by both the party and State Council. The National Work Conference for Building Spiritual Civilization is a public forum that will involve delegations from various religions and religious heads both inside and outside the country oriented towards confidence building and, in the words of Ivashko himself, "forging a harmonious relationship between the party and the preachers and priests through dialogue."

Central Committee to evaluate economic plan for 2027-2032
PICTURED: National Party Headquarters in the Government Quarter, Belgrade. Over the course of the week the Central Committee will converge for its 2nd Plenary Sessions for the year 2027 where it is expected that the second round of reforms the Premier has cooked up will be reviewed, discussed, and voted upon.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 349, Edition 2027 | Belgrade, Falsea -- The National Economic Planning Commission has today submitted the 12th Economic Plan to the Central Committee for evaluation and scrutiny by the gathered representatives of the people's vanguard.
The 12th Economic Plan compiled from information gathered by the State Council from the bottom-up has been compiled thoroughly in a ninety-one page report that was entitled "Looking Towards a New Falsea" by Chairman of the NEPC and the Premier of Falsea Edward Rathenau.
In an opening speech to the 2nd Plenary Session of the Central Committee for this year, the Premier has called for the Central Committee to "thoroughly review and adopt the new economic direction" and has remarked that "Falsea has entered an age of change and adaption. The inevitable forces of nature dictate that we must morph ourselves in order to continue into a path of progress set forth by the great founding fathers and to achieve this, Falsea should not allow itself to be backed up in a corner by the staleness of state socialism. In order to build and strengthen the foundations of our socialist empire, it is rightly proper that we liberate ourselves of any constricting shackles that hinder our growth. It is rightly proper that we seek to refine and improve what we are and allow the faded discourse of the past to remain in the past. Capitalism is no longer an experiment, but a means towards communism. For it does not matter if a cat is black or is white, as long as it catches mice then it is useful.".
As part of the economic rebalancing and modernization the Premier has pursued since his election, the 12th Economic Plan was apparently catered towards two primary agendas; that of the enhancement of the domestic services industry in Falsea to be on par with industrial and agricultural output and guidelines for gradual wage increases and the introduction of a new national taxing system reportedly containing extensive slashes in various areas such as foreign corporate taxes, labor taxes, and vice taxes as well as overhauls of some others which may include abolition of certain taxes.
The 12th Economic Plan also gave prioritization for the allocation of resources and funding towards the special administrative regions of Falsea such as Chelizen, Noslaw, Argent Island, and the Southrock Islands, which have seen the creation of booming commercial scenes propped by trade liberalization measures upheld a few years earlier. Indeed the Premier has made sure to not allow this fact to escape the Central Committee by reporting on the statistical growth in net personal income, gross domestic product, and living quality standards for Falseans living in the four mentioned special economic zones and the new provincial free enterprise areas. Rathenau has mentioned as well the arrival of foreign firms to these zones, which has been a major contributing factor to the aforementioned growth and development.
This plan, if adopted and ratified by the Central Committee, will be implemented at once until the election of Rathenau's successor in the 9th National People's Congress in five years. However, many ask, will there be economic planning still by the time the Beauregard-Rathenau administration departs the Heydrich House?
Many in our motherland have echoed these fears that the Premier's goals will run counter to the principles of the state and threaten national unity and stability. The Falsean Alliance of Laborers has been one of the foremost enemies of these new plans and changes to the economic system, with its President Timothy Meynes appealing for the rejection of Rathenau's reforms. In past events, the FAL has staged sit-ins, protests, and other demonstrations throughout Falsea, notable the one day leave from work of factory workers and foremen in Dresdenne in the Autumber of the previous year and the New Concord strike which counted about a hundred thousand participants in nonviolent mass rallies, all calling for an end to "the betrayal of the proletariat by the counterrevolutionary Premier."
Particularly the numerous comments made by the Premier referencing sweeping changes to all facets and mechanisms of the economy have been criticized heavily. Enthusiasm from the trade liberalization "opening" brought about by the West Nysan Economic Cooperation Agreement has seemingly been silent with the coming of the 2027-2032 economic plan, perhaps even died down, ever since debacles regarding the possible removal of all planning and allocation functions have been heard coming from the Premier's mouth in his addresses, both informal and official, something which he has refused to comment on.
From within the party, the Politburo has agreed to a resolution aimed towards "Analyzing the Benefits and the Weaknesses of the New Economic Direction", with General Secretary Beauregard remaining adamant that no final decision has been reached yet and that the Politburo remains committed to a collective decision to such a fundamental discussion. In his words, the General Secretary has said "If it is for the best interests of our objectives, within the framework of strategic socialism, loyal to our core values, and trusted by my countrymen, then it will be our direction. The evaluation of the Central Committee will prove whether or not it these criteria are filled."
True enough, the fate of Premier Edward Rathenau's plans hinges on the total, or even the plurality of, support from the three hundred members of the Central Committee.
Whether or not such support is achieved, however, rest assured people of Falsea that your party shall remain as your vanguard, your protector, your savior, and your guiding light. The sweeping tides of bourgeois-dominated globalization may hit the walls of the People's Republic however as long as our hands are linked and our minds are one, then we shall be unbreakable, both from external dangers and internal sabotage by traitorous and turncoating forces.

General Secretary responds to accusations of Carpathian Emperor
The President of Falsea and the General Secretary of the Falsean People's Party came to an impassioned defense of Canary's liberation and actions that have been done for the greater good, following the rise of calls for investigations and condemnations by numerous nations.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 355, Edition 2027 | Belgrade, Falsea -- The vitriolic condemnation recently released by the Carpathian Emperor and Dictator Kainan Wolfe against the former oligarchy of the Arrese Imperium and the administration of Louise Rourke has been met with a response from General Secretary Anthony Beauregard.
The General Secretary's response immediately came to the defense of the actions undertaken by his predecessor during the events which unfolded after the murder of the Falsean, Antovan, and Arrese ambassadors by forces of the Princely Duca and Gregory Romanov came to light, stating that "What had to be done had to be done. Force was necessary in order to bring down a threat not only to the peace of the Imperium and of the People's Republic, but also Nysa and the world at large"
This statement was merely the first part of the remarks given by the General Secretary during a press conference following the adjournment of the month's second Politburo meeting, which was, in a separate statement made by the Minister of State, concentrated wholly on foreign relations trends manifesting in Nysa. The General Secretary has also called out the Allied States in "Falsea's violations of Carpathian and Trilateral Alliance principles", exclaiming further that "In addition to the Allied States, itself the most well-known champion in the use of aggression and force in the international community, not being in a position to judge us over our conduct during the Canariese War of liberation, they are also not in a position to dictate our principles or that of the Trilateral Alliance unilaterally. Respect is the foundation of an alliance, and if one cannot learn to respect their similarities but also their differences, then it is not an alliance."
Criticism from the annexation of the southern parts of Canary into the Noslaw Special Administrative Region has also been answered by the General Secretary, pointing out that the annexation was not imperialistic in nature owing to referendums and consultations held by interim Falsean authorities during wartime, which resulted in massive support for a new government under Falsea. "We have done the people of Canary a service and they are thankful. They have been incorporated however they have kept their culture. They have been socialized however they have maintained their economic structures. They are Falseas however they are still Canaries. We have respected them and their identity and in turn they have embraced the proletarian way.", Beauregard said.
In spite of the harsh responses, Beauregard has addressed the fact that the authorization of the use of "unlimited force" has not been sanctioned by the higher levels of the military chain of command, saying it was an honest mistake on the part of the Central Military Committee. The information only reached them until the last moment when elements of the Falsean People's Navy had already embarked on a tremendous campaign of naval bombardment along the coasts of Canary, in codename "Operation Empyrean Precision" and the follow-up "Operation Eradication", the land invasion phase carried in coordination with Arrese forces. Following this admittance the General Secretary has announced that investigations by the party and State Council have yielded in the discovery of the complicity of several high-ranking generals and political commissars in the plot hatched, leading to a purge and arrest of over 41 names in the military command including 1st National Army Deputy Chief for Intelligence Operations Julius Temple, Admiral Roger Balfour and Vice Admiral Marcus Seamey of the Myrovian Fleet, and Political Commissar for the Myrovian Fleet and former Political Commissar for the fleet's flagship Kevin Jameson.
In addition evidence from the investigations of the Supreme State Procuratorate, Ministry of State Security, and Supreme People's Court during the trial of Gregory Romanov and Luchas I were brought up, citing various records of underhanded negotiations, transactions, and exchanges between the two individuals to orchestrate an incident and wage a war against Falsea with the goal of reinstating the extinct Falsean Tsardom, overthrown by the Great People's Revolution in 1955.
The General Secretary wrapped up his words with a final address, not only to the Carpathian Emperor but also other figures such as the Angirisian President and the Akitian Emperor and Prime Minister; "Falsea is appalled that its friends and allies have chosen to launch tirades against it with nothing but fallacious documents to back up allegations by anti-Falsean forces regarding the justice delivered to genocidal maniacs and far-right tyrants. It is as if there is no trust in Falsea, and we are outraged by this situation, especially from the Allied States. Falsea commits itself to civilized and humane methods of warfare when it acts militarily and not once has been complicit in such acts pointed towards us by falsifiers and charlatans. We hope that our friends and allies may learn to discern what is true and what is a lie, in order to continue the excellent relations shared for so long."

Lara Hopkins, former and last Minister of External Affairs and the current Falsean ambassador to the Pacium Union. Hopkins was among the first to issue a response to the announcement of the PU to double the amount of boots they have in the ground, in the Skien, releasing a harangue echoing that of the student demonstrators in Belgrade.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 360, Edition 2027 | Kotuva, Pacium Union -- Once again, the Imperial Republic of the Pacium Union and the People's Republic of Falsea have found themselves in loggerheads with one another. Through the former's bold instigation of a new issue between north and south, hopes for peace and a final resolution to the Skien Question are subject further into the realm of the unknown.
The announcement from Ninsk that it shall increase its military presence in the Skien, where it has eaten up the sovereignty of certain native states, has sent ripples throughout the Falsean government. Alarm and caution surged through this month's Central Committee Plenary Session, where one of the key speakers, Pacium and Interreal Affairs Commissioner Emil Fritz, warned against the "repercussions of apathy and inaction". The Commissioner's address at the first day's session was met with resounding applause and support.
While the Central Committee has not yet adopted a resolution empowering the Politburo to discuss sanctions and any other similar responses or the Central Military Committee to take into consideration defensive action, much to the dismay of new Air Force Marshall Victor Westmark, the State Council has not been silent. Minister of State Benedict Kaufman released a statement recently which expressed the "resolute opposition and disapproval of Falsea towards this move."
Much earlier, the Falsean Ambassador to the Pacium Union, Lara Hopkins, also spoke in response to the increase of military forces. Ambassador Hopkins delivered her message in an outdoor party-conference held by the Falsean community in Kotuva, stating that "the attempts of the Pacium Union to enlarge their colonial dominions, and the fabrications they've whipped up to support this agenda, are truly disheartening. Ten years ago Nysa was at the brink of war, because of the Skien Question. It was only during the conference which bought us peace, only through the collective will of Nysa's nations that an answer was found. However, the unilateral action by the Pacium Union threaten to reverse what we had all built. These dangerous ambitions, I fear, foreshadow a future where trust shall never appear again."
Of course, the words of the State Council are not the only reflections of Falsean displeasure. Mass protests led primarily by university students and joined by citizens in Belgrade and Grayridge have erupted over the last few days, yelling in condemnation of "Paciun aggression" and burning larger than life dummies bearing the faces of PU Emperor Alvino, Empress Alessia, Grand Duchess Isara, and Prime Minister Sevena. Numbering perhaps in the ten thousands, students held demonstrations and programs in Liberation Square, the U-Belt, and Hadley Isinbayeva Avenue carrying placards with captions such as "Go back home, hypocrites!" and "Demilitarize the Skien!"
In a speech by Tyler Mann, President of the University of Falsea's Campus Senate, popular will declared anger and resentment at issues broader than the militarization itself, which is none other than the expiration of the Ninsk Accords and the refusal of the PU to continue it, which Mann claims is the "glue holding together the pieces of a fragile situation". Several other speakers have demanded action by the central people's government against the PU, including military force to "kick the Paciuns out of the south".
At a particularly crowded demonstration in the Government Quarter earlier, State Police had to be called in to prevent the protesters from storming the Paciun embassy. Nineteen students were found guilty of attempting to overpower embassy security and assaulting the embassy with molotovs and flares, being taken into custody soon after they were caught.
Such displays have prompted the General Secretary to address the populace, urging order and calmness in disposition but firmness in action.
"Make no mistake." Beauregard began in his address yesterday evening. "In no way can we see these actions in a positive light. Larger amounts of Paciun soldiers in Skien soil means a larger danger not only to Falsean state security, but also the geopolitical balance of Nysa. Such a balance has already been tipped and it is our desire to not tip it more than it already has. On the other hand, the disappearance of the only assurance, the only guarantee that the opening of the Skien to colonial ventures by some will not represent a knife to the throats of Southern Nysan nations is very disconcerting to say the least. Falsea shall be watching very closely to the development of the situation and, it goes without saying, shall not put off with any action that may be necessary to take once the threshold has been crossed."
Beauregard also called for caution on the part of the Pacium Union and called on its leaders to seek an immediate replacement for the Ninsk Accords. It is expected that the General Secretary will talk to Pacium Emperor Alvino Nortaius through the direct hotline established between the Red Manor in Belgrade and the Imperial Palace in Ninsk established nine years ago, with former General Secretary Rourke's visit.

Crisis in Aureterra escalates. General Secretary Beauregard: "the whole situation is outrageous....a waste of the lives of young men and women."
General Sectretary Beauregard in the Politburo Press Meeting Room, briefing the media about the Falsean response to the rise in tensions in Aureterra. Deep seated ideological splits between two very different nations are awakening as the threat of war looms over southern Nysa. In more ways than one.
by Oliver Woods | Issue 363, Edition 2027 | Bucharest, Carpathia and Moldova -- Relations between the Allied States and the Kingdom of Abere have not always been in the best condition. However, it appears as if the recent sour history in diplomatic ties will now come to a conclusion. And it isn't a very happy one, if we're to judge from an outsider perspective, let alone as a participant in what seems to be a major war about to erupt, if not already erupted, in Aureterra.
The Aberian Kuvendi under the domination of Social Nationalist forces, notorious for its tendency to unanimously pass reactionary laws, has once again set the stage for a barrage of threats and more from members of the international community. The "Law Against Social Prejudice and Hatred" recently passed has been responsible for the arrest of hundreds of religious figures, confiscation of theological documents, and shutting down of numerous churches and temples throughout the country.
Though such a law appears to be widely received by the citizenry, with some citizens even going as far as to attack the remaining religious institutions that still stand, the reaction of many countries has not been the same. Not surprising, considering that preachers part of the ICS Salbanist Church of Goldecia and the Reido from Akitsu have been one of the key victims under the new proposal aimed towards the "protection of the nation from terrorists and extremists."
The Ministry of State released a comment two days after the passage of the law, remarking that Abere "continues to suffer under its incompetent and short-sighted leaders", criticizing the method by which the government of Prime Minister Egzon Kaj underwent the harmonization of religion and state, as well as the suppression of sexual minorities and their supporters home and abroad, as "brutal, inhumane, and characteristic more of systematic oppression rather than maintaining national peace and order."
This was then followed by the Ministry of State's declaration that it will withdraw the Falsean diplomatic mission in Abere, with Ambassador Vincent Alexander Reeves and the rest of the staff vacating the embassy in the capital less than twenty fours later. "The People's Republic of Falsea cannot bear to maintain relations with a government that has proven itself more than willing to harass not only its citizen minorities but also foreign citizens." were the last words of Ambassador Reeves shortly boarding his flight in the evening.
Reactions from other nations have been far more severe. Akitsu's State Committee had authorized the Prime Minister Fujiwara and his government to exercise any action necessary to protect their citizens, leading to Akitsu being the first nation to enforce action against Abere through a naval blockade and a two day ultimatum. The Hahklallahn D.P.R immediately joined in the blockade, with Premier Krupin adding a no-fly zone in the mix in much of southern Abere.
Meanwhile, Goldecian Prime Minister Jane Summers addressed their people and declared that recent legislation was the "final straw". The Kingdom of Goldecia declared war on Abere, backed by the Allied States in what could only be the perfect opportunity for them to finally strike the number one state in their "Axis of Evil".
The Kingdom of Abere rejected the "international conspiracy" being brewed by the Allied States and declared its willingness to stand and fight for their sovereignty. Surprisingly, reactions from across the ocean in support of Abere have also made their voices heard, in a collective response of states deemed "fascistic" and also targeted by Bucharest. Myeongju in particular, has responded to "Carpathian imperialism" by mobilizing its armed forces and placing them on a defensive posture citing threats that they were "next in the hitlist".
Voices of moderation have not disappeared however still. The Medo-Kubanizan Empire and Angiris have urged all parties to take a step back, reconsider their actions, and search for a diplomatic solution. In Nysa, the Aurentine Democratic Republic has called for a peaceful end to the crisis and pursued steps to achieve such, offering mediation even as they joined in the no-fly zone over Abere.
Despite the numerous calls for an immediate deescalation, it seems unavoidable that war will happen, with Abere refusing to negotiate with other nations without Carpathia presence and Carpathia remaining adamant on its no-nonsense and no-mercy stance against "terrorists and Nazis".
With the first shots of this war nearing with each passing minute, further steps have been taken by the central people's government in order to pressure the belligerents towards peace, with the Ministry of State releasing a statement urging the maintenance of "patience" and encouraging that the offer of the Aurentinan government for negotiations be accepted.
Economic sanctions have been levied on Abere following its refusal to negotiate, with the Ministry of Commerce halting all foreign direct investment into Abere by Falsean companies until peace is achieved. Central Military Committee Vice Chairman and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Bernard Thompson has announced in a press conference that Falsea will participate in the naval blockade and no-fly zone of Abere, deploying half of the 5th Fleet for such a purpose.
General Secretary Beauregard personally answered queries yesterday condemning and laying blame on both sides. "While the actions of Abere are appalling, bordering on madness, Falsea will not support the Goldecian Kingdom, the Allied States, and other countries that have chosen war as a method. Falsea condemns the warmongers so eager to replace the government of Abere by force of arms, to force them to swallow values and principles and morals no better than what they have now, to pursue other rogue agendas. Falsea is thoroughly ashamed of the zealous, delusional crusades waged by some. The whole situation is outrageous, complicated by pride and barbarism. I grieve for those who are about to lay down their lives for questionable beliefs and orders, for this war is nothing but a waste of the lives of young men and women."
