There's nothing a drone strike won't fix.

The ethnic group known as the Kubans, or Kubanizans, are the native inhabitants of the Kubanizan Hetmanate. They are generally large-built men, quite tall, and have strong traditions--many of which are kept to this day.

In ancient times, the modern state of Kubaniza was nonexistant. The Kuban people were divided among various clans, each with its own hetman. The men of the clan met in a rada to elect the next hetman when the previous one dies. The Kubanizans were very independent, though followed their hetman loyally. Kubanizans were notorious for their warlike nature, and often raided neighboring groups--including the Kyomans, Medlavs, and Länlanians--and each other. Sometimes, several clans would unite behind a strong leader in a konfederatsiya, or confederacy. These confederacies were used in times of foreign invasion and great internal conflict among the Kuban peoples.

Though the Kubanizans were not very different from each other culturally or ethnically, there appeared a distinct division between those who inhabited the plains and those who lived in the highlands around the Beluna River. The Plains Kubanizans were more sparsely concentrated and more involved in agriculture, while the Highland Kubanizans were more densely populated and were turning more towards mining the minerals of the highlands. The Plains Kubanizans became more adept horsemen than their Highland brethren, who themselves were beginning to concentrate more towards dismounted combat. Both groups, however, maintained their prowess on horseback.

When the hetmans of Bukanya began to unite the Kubanizan peoples, the practice of electing hetmans via rada was discontinued, as the Bukanyan hetmans passed their titles on to their sons in order to keep the hetmanate within their own family. Loyalty to one's hetman was still of utmost importance, though the hetman was expected to keep their follower's rights, privileges, and freedoms in high regard.
