This is a Boarding School RP (on High School level) that began on Wednesday, November 22, 2006. "Today" is Friday, November 24, 2006.

----------

It was supposed to be a harmless study group. Harmless. But everything went... wrong. A study group became a party that went out of control. Some students became reckless animals. Some friends became enemies. Some children became adults all too quickly. EVERYONE that attended the party did something he/she would never do under normal circumstances. After that night, nothing would ever be the same. Particularly, there are three friends at the center of it all. Why? Because the study group was their idea. They started it all, and they paid the most for their actions. So the final question is, how do you fit in to the story? Only you can decide. But one thing is for sure. After The Study Group, no one is who they used to be...

Welcome to BCSA!

Step 1:
If you're here, then you probably already know this is an RP forum. If you didn't already know, then you do now. First off, you're going to want to read the scrolling heading on the top of this page. It appears on every page of the forum for a reason. If it doesn't appear in your browser window or you're just having trouble reading it, you can also view its contents *here*. Also, at the top of the page, you'll find lots of helpful links that appear on every page of the forum so no matter what page you're on, you can get to them. (The link to this very topic is actually one of them.) The homepage of the board can be found *here*, but the link that says "Bach's Center of Success and Achievement" will always take you back to the homepage. If you're going to be a member, then you should definitely add the homepage to your Favorites.

Step 2:
Next, you should familiarize yourself with the rules and see if you'll actually be able to follow them. The breaking of forum rules is not taken lightly. Keep that in mind. Of course, you'll have to follow the general forum rules, which you can find *here*. You'll also have to follow the RP rules, which you can find *here*.

Step 3:
Alrighty, if you're still reading this, then you've probably decided you're down with the story and with the rules. Before you can actually do anything, you'll have to register. You can fill out a registration form *here*. This cannot be stressed enough: please choose a realistic username (consisting of a first and last name). Once you've done that, you'll need to create a character profile.

Step 4:
You have two options. You can:
-create your own character profile. (Continue to Step 6)
-or you can go to the NPC Profiles section and take on a character that already exists. (Continue to Step 5)

Step 5:
An NPC, or non-playing character, is a character that is created for the purpose of adding in extra characters that may be needed to enhance the story. These characters, though used in the posts of other people, do not make posts themselves, which is why they are called non-playing characters. However, if you choose to become a character that is an NPC, it will no longer be an NPC and it will instead be a regular Character. To view the current list of NPCs, click *here*. If you choose to take on an NPC, reply to the topic in which that NPC is described and wait for an administrator to post if you are allowed to take on that character or not. If yes, copy the NPC profile and use it to create a Character Profile. The template for a Character Profile can be found *here*. When you have completed your Character Profile, post it in the Character Profiles section, which can be found *here*. The NPC profile will be deleted, and you will officially be that Character.

Step 6:
To create your own Character, you'll need to create a Character Profile. To view a Character Profile Template, go *here*. Please follow the template. If you leave any important information out, your character could be in danger of being denied. Post your finished Character Profile *here*. You can also view the profiles of other Characters here. You may want to do so if you'd like to have a better idea of the format the administration is looking for. Once you've posted, an administrator will reply to your topic telling you if your Character has been approved or not.

Step 7:
If your Character has been approved, you're officially a student at BCSA! But wait, there's more...

Here at BCSA, you are expected to create your own schedule. If you filled out a Character Profile, then you already know what grade you are in. To pick out what courses you want to take, you'll have to go *here* and scroll down to the grade that applies to you. Underneath each list is a set of requirements that will help you compile a list of your course selections.

You'll also need to organize your selections into a schedule. To see more information about each course, go *here*. You'll notice that codes are used for the courses. To find out what each code stands for, go *here*.

Take special care to note what teachers, rooms, and periods your courses are offered with. Once you start posting, you'll need to make sure you're posting in the right place and referring to the right people. To submit your schedule, post your desired schedule as a new topic *here* detailing what courses you would like to take during what periods. If it is approved, Ms. Kelley (BCSA Guidance Counselor) will send you a private message telling you that your schedule has been approved and that you can begin posting. The current period will be in the scrolling heading that appears at the top of every page on the forum.

Step 8:
However, as a student, there are some school rules you'll need to know. Whether you decide to keep them or break them is up to you, but make sure to note the consequences. Maybe you want your character to get into trouble, maybe you don't. That is a decision you'll have to make for yourself. The school rules can be found *here*.

Step 9 (optional):
You remember what NPCs are, right?
If at any time, you'd like to create an NPC to enhance the story of your own character, you'll need to create an NPC Profile. The template for an NPC Profile can be found *here*. Post your finished NPC profile *here*.

Step 10 (optional):
As you already know, there are four main characters. Their posts are what started this forum, and they will be available to regulate the progress of the forum. Keep that in mind as well.

Okay. You're ready. There's some more reading to be done. To read up on the storyline, start *TBA*. There is a link at the bottom of every page; either a link to go to the next page of that topic or a link to an entirely new topic. It's an intriguing story.

And remember, it started with a Study Group, but it ends with the stories of characters like you!
