Another mocha hippo with a much heavier application of the brown top glaze. 9.5"x4" catalogue #934 ![]()

Because I'm a very, very, bad photographer!!! I'll try to get a better representation of the base posted. I wouldn't be surprised if this hippo was a second. On most Mocha and slate pieces that I've seen, the brown drip is sparse. It is however quite glossy. The belly of this guy is very glossy. There was so much of the brown glaze applied that it has formed in a drip under his nose and belly. I'll try harder next time

Hi Alan, Some collectors called this reverse Mocha since it's so shiny. I've also seen the shiny Slate glaze on some pieces. He's cute! Diana |

I like that better than thinking of it as a second Diana. The only thing is, now I have to find a piece of "reverse slate" and it's all your fault
