I've decided we need more members. Anyone have ideas on how to achieve this? |

1. have aliens abduct them, put controlling devices in their brains and then we make them active beyond our wildest dreams 2. a recruitment drive - we structure a message to be posted on the NS message board and also one to send individually to each member of the region 3. competitions - we run regular competitions (fun, casual, low-key) and post invites on the message board 4. welcoming committee - doesn't need to be official but we need to continue the habit of corporately and individually welcoming new members to the offsite/NS regional board through general greetings and private messages 5. a survey - i did one of these a while ago to get a gist of what the demographic is of the region - it might be worth doing one to see what will attract ppl to the offsite - its a slow process but information retrieval and collating is in my skill set and that's all I can think of for now |

Sending messages to nations in the region seems like a pretty good idea. Are you looking at recruiting members, or just moving them onto the forum? |

Well, we could revive some previous initiatives. I'm not sure what state we're in these days but a cleanup and I'll update the introduction thread after exams. |

You know, how about a chat party? But I like competitions, how bout we restart our regional trivia comp? Again after exams. I find myself saying that a lot recently. |

Nedi - getting them to move over to the offsite is the plan, a further step would be recruiting more ppl to the Australian region as a whole Sypons - yes and yes. I'll start playing the trivia again and a chat party would be good fun though it might take some co-ordinating to get a mutually convenient time frame to advertise. I guess my outlook is to start small, work to a plan and divvy up the tasks so no one gets stuck with too much. |

I was actually thinking a whole new comp which shouldn't take too long for us to set up. A bit more question variety this time perhaps ![]() Sounds like a plan, let me know what fiendish scheme you dream up. |

i think a new trivia game would be most excellent and as Westaway has moved on, it would give one or more of us control over the game to keep it updated, etc. We could get Ashmore to post the new link and launch it? What I'll do is set up a new game but I'll keep the username and password generic so that at least two of us have access to it. That way we can change the pics, question types, etc..... i'll get cracking on it and the rest of you let me know what you think *runs off with Sypons' idea in her pocket* |

Sounds like a plan. I'm going to run with the changing the skin thing but I'll need an admin to finish it off for me. |

We should pin an intro thread to the top of the main page for easy access. |

There is one, its at the top of the Doc Mania bar here. Although, it probably needs an update. We could do a welcome centre at the top of the main page I suppose. Thats an admin decision though. |
