They just keep bouncing :)
close friend of mine broke her wrist when on holidays. She was out of action for quite some time. The only compensation she had as no cooking, dishes, vacuuming etc. IE NO HOUSEWORK!!!!
I think it took a tad longer to heal that it should have lol
Take care and drink lots of booze...it doesn't cure the injury but sure as hell numbs the pain :)

Sypons, I'm sure we can set up a recovery area for you in the Leadership Office - perhaps next to the bar fridge?

Ah yes, I found those a while ago. I'd almost forgotten about them.

In other news I've managed to break my wrist fairly badly so don't expect to see much of me around for a few days until the swelling goes down and I can type with both hands.

ouch ...

Bigger list of man commandments over here.

Random thought. I got my green P's today. How come being unable to drive doesn't prohibit me from getting a new license?

I guess because it's only a temporary injury ?

Random questions -

1. Has anyone seen Hot Fuzz yet?

2. Does anyone know when that epic film 300 is coming out in Australia?

Is Hot Fuzz worth it? I've heard some good things.

I've heard it's extremely good, hope to check it out this week.

300 looks amazing, just my type of film.

I know the story but I'm not too sure about how they'll make a couple of hours from it. Also apparently the Spartans aren't gay in the movie, who failed history?

lol, honestly what's a historical epic without a homo-erotic storyline?

I'm intrigued by the stylised look of it - the special effects that I've seen in the preview look stunning.

ofc they weren't gay.
Spartans were a wARRIOR NATION part of the greater greece.
Ancient civilizations did not consider relationships with men as 'gay'. Women were to bear children and look after the home. They raised thefamily and did the weaving, cleaning, cooking etc.
It was normal for men to have strong ties with both men and women.
Spartans would put their babies, once born,on a mountain over night. Only the strong survived which was what they waNTED.
the boys were separated from the girls at a young age [if memory serves me around 12] and sent to military schools to learn the way of a warrior.
Men were dependent on their fellow warriors to keep them alive in battle. As a result very strong unions were formed and considered natural
Look at the ancient olympics.....only men attended and they conpeted naked. The ran and wrestled and did simple events like spear throwing...things related to battle.
Wrestling naked would infer a close relationship between men.
ps: I teach history, particually ancient history, it's my job and my hobby

Random thought - I was reading reviews of the somewhat recent unauthorised biography of Shane Warne - here were my two favourite comments

re. the author Paul Barry

Quote:

A friend of Paul Barry’s tells me that he has all the good grace and moral fortitude of a pubic louse with a migraine sitting in the sweaty crotch of a pre-menstrual Kazakhi yak on the banks of the Irtysh River during the month of October before the winter snows.

re. Shane

Quote:

So he gets the night tool out more often than a UN peace keeper bartering with the locals for food. Big deal. He’s a paragon of leg spin, not virtue. Warne is the Bogans Bogan, and if there’s a book out claiming he’s played on middle stump with over a thousand slappers it will only increase his legend status further
