Tasmania for the 18th AFL License!

Not many. But if a final should be a Derby or a Showdown, I reckon it should be held the state where both teams come from. |

which now days i feel is a stupid agreement. I'd like to see something like the yanks have in the NFL, where the grangfinal(superbowl) venue for the comming year is announce before season start. the venue could be anywhere and is to take place at that certain venue no matter who plays. now.....on a completly different topic.......I need some opinions here. Is darts considered my most here to be a sport ? I think it is....but i have a mate who is arguing the point with me that it isn't. Doc |

Darts is the ultimate sport, as you can play it with a beer in your hand and a cigy in your mouth! Lawn Bowls and snooker are close seconds, but only because you have to put your beer and cigy down while actually playing your shot! The AFL grand final will never be moved from the MCG, it has the largestseating capacity (or will have when renovations are finished) and has over half the tickest pre-sold as part of corporate packages. Last year a mate of mine wanted to go and was told that there were only 13,000 tickets each allocated to Brisbane and Port (including those that had been tranfered from other clubs). The remaining 77,000 odd were reserved for AFL members, MCG members, corporate sponsors and the other 14 clubs (of which most of the clubs allocations had been on sold to travel agents and the like) Hence, no matter who is playing, you are likely to get at least 70,000 along to the match even before you take the fans into account |

I agree with militarism, its definitely a sport. Its bloody hard to play how the professionals do it
:( Seeing there are professionals making money out of it I'd call it a sport, I've also seen darts leagues kind of like 10 pin bowling leagues. |

Thank u to everyone that agrees with me
Told ya it was a sport westy Won the area grouping on sunday for my darts league , so i'm as happy as a pig in shit Gotta wait till wednesday night now to see if i get selectied for the region team. Darts is a very intense mental sport, the hand eye thing has to be spot on otherwise ya may as well sit down. Pizza....if u can play with a beer in one hand along with 2 other dats and throw with the other and still get a good score , your doing good mate lol Seen many shot with the cigy in the yapper though. Westy........it still is all beer and party pies....why the hell do u think i play hahahaha.....the free grog at the end lol that and its one of the best SPORTS...coz ya don't have to do anything physical lol Doc |

If shooting and archery are both sports, then darts would have to be a sport as well. All those mentioned above involve skill to hit a specific target, and sports tests skill and endurance. Therefore they are all sports. |
