A Well Written Critique AND a Nice Avatar
I watched a version of Lost In Translation which had been downloaded from KaZaA So the quality was pretty poor and it may have clouded my judgement - I Was Bored though ![]() My Favourite Hunk is Vin Diesel and I'm looking forward to seeing him in The Pacifier

when it comes to sexy men, they are few and far between these days. I loved the role Johnny depp played. I also thought Orlando Bloom was cute in LoTR. I've always had a soft spot for Richard Gere and Richard Dean Anderson has a wicked sense of humour to go with his cute looks. I can be convinced there are others worthy of my admiration also though

Random Thought: I want to go back on holidays. I'm already getting crunched by the sheer magnititude of the tasks ahead of me in this final year of uni. Also, I saw Luther yesterday starring Joseph Fiennes as Martin Luther, the guy who was responsible for the split in the Catholic Church and the father of Protestantism, removing the worshipping of saints and the Pope out of the equation. Not too shabby, rather a good movie I thought. |

I have been uncommonly sympathetic to Vin Diesel. I put up with Fast and the Furious, Pitch Black - I even watched The Chronicles of Riddick. I guess it is because we share a similarly deep voice, that I have some sympathy for the guy. But this next film just looks like crap. Sorry Vin. I guess your career is going to be in the can now. My best bet would be for you to redeem yourself through 3-4 years of stage acting or low budget art house films... and as if you would do that. Screw it, I am going to see "House of Flying Daggers". The Chinese know how to make a good film. I saw a preview of it on a surround sound system and it blew my mind. Random thought: I got to see a fireworks display from above last night, sitting in a revolving restaurant in Canberra's Tower. Well wicked. |

Its strange, what i hear about this movie, either you love it or you hate it. there seems to be no in between. unfortunately, i have not been so fortunate RV, as to have even briefly visited Japan. However, it was recommended by a trusted friend and therefore I'm willing to watch it on that alone.
Johnny Depp was fabulous in Pirates. Orlando Bloom, although great in LoTR, is a bit of a pretty boy (see Troy)... and Richard Dean Anderson has done pretty well for himself, and I do like him in Stargate sexy men have always been few and far between for me, not that it makes a difference since sexy isn't a requirement for a good film. so I don't mind at all... and sometimes you only get sexy in a certain film, but in other films the actor just doesn't work (like Keanu in the Matrix)
I understand on the uni front, although I started getting bored towards the end of the holidays... I actually like going to uni, its a great break from work but now i'm working less, i don't have much money and i had to pay $430 for my books last week
:( EDIT: damn these emoticons |

Westie answers our calls again! I have ta agree with ya there JB, getting mighty sick of old Vin Diesel, i just dont think he plays the whole "tough guy" role right. And Pitch Black had to be one of my least favourite movies of all time. Eurgh - was a doozey! eagles |

Alan Jones and Ray Hadley on 2GB are really starting to grow on me- what they say are starting to make a lot more sense nowadays than the idealistic rantings of unrealistic and naive uni student activists... |
