as for video games, as stupid as it sounds they are actually very good for developiong hand eye co-ordination in kids ... mind you by the time you reach 32 that's probably a pretty lame excuse for playing them, but at least its an excuse thathas been scientifically proven!

ha - go outside and play - and get some exercise too :P

Although I gotta say, I was really addicted to AOE for a while there...

I just had a uni fetish night out! Yes, went as Abe Lincoln a la gaybar video. Was fun.

Id like to point out its basically a fetish themed fancy dress with porn playin on the screens. Lots of alcohol and lots of staring at scantily clad "french maids"...

Sounds like my kinda party! Plus electric six is a great band :D

Well yeah, it happens twice a year and the union is the fullest it has been since freshers week both times.

I went mainly for the fun of a night out. Im fed up being taunted by my own lack of a sex or love life, and prefer just to dance with friends and get wasted. Im not going to pull so why waste time?

Trying sucks and now I've stopped Im happy.

Good stuff, trying is for chumps!

And on the whole computer games thing - it can be a really good thing to do, imagine going to a lan place with your friends and taking out all that rage you can't usaly express on them by shooting them to bits, or mocking them after you outsmarted them on the battlefeild.....as for rpgs, its more about immersing yourself in another world than everything else, I don't know about the rest of you but I like the idea where I can play a game online and if someone gives me shit you can simply turn them into a sumldering pile of dust and smoking boots.

Plus I totaly agree with the southpark theory - pokemon are evil.

Today's random thought:

I wish I could remember how to ask a girl out again, it's been a while. Should I even be dating anyway, I am only in town for two more months... eh.

Meanwhile I have become dizzy all of a sudden. That ain't good. Better get some sleep or something.

Awww, c'mon, dating doesn't exactly imply a permanent relationship!

(Of course, if you meet a girl you really like then you're in for it!)

Good point, however I am going to have to find somewhere more stylish than the University eating hall to eat.

I'm walking bait in those kinds of games e.g. Counterstrike or Desert Combat. I kick ass against swarming legions of bots, but my mates always blow me away.

Mozzies love dining out on me- they love he sugar and fat-loaded up in my blood vessels, I suppose kinda like greasy fast-food for mozzies.

Random Thought: Soylent Green as a solution to world hunger and overpopulation sounds like a really good idea... :puke:

2nd Random Thought: Read 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood. It was written some time ago and is in the vein of George Orwell's '1984'. Less comprehensive and sophisticated, but scary enough to be true in the near foresseable future.

3rd Random Thought: Thomas More is an idealistic, over-confident, overly-optimistic, naive, dumb ass. Read his book 'Utopia'? What an idiot? His alleged utopian society is equivalent today as being illiberal Stalinist Communism.

4th Random Thought: GTA III completely sucks ass compared to Vice City, which in turn (I guess) is inferior to San Andreas.

Okay, a response to your random thoughts:

1. Are you sure, I would get sick of Soylent Green pretty quick. Don't get me wrong, I like the taste of pork, but having it all the time would mess me up. Which is why I am messed up in Germany, where all you can eat is pork.

2. I read "Oryx and Crake" last year and loved it, I thought it deserved the Booker Prize over Vernon God Little, and I read that as well and liked most of it. Here at the university they devote an entire course to her work, so she is definitely in high regard.

3. I've also read Utopia. For its time you have to admit it was actually quite good, considering the social condition of England. That said, maybe reading Swift's "Gulliver's Travels", which is a parody of this work, might help. But yes, I did find the civilisation a touch oppressive.

4. Yes yes and yes. Don't remind me how much I want San Andreas. And how much I miss Vice City.

And one of mine:

I have an inspection of my apartment tomorrow. Wish me luck! (I am going to need it)

Good Luck on the apartment inspection JB! ^_^

Random Thoughts:

1. Yes, JB, try to find a nicer place to eat than at the university. Please!

2. Pork, you don't seriously need a girlfriend. If you think you have problems now, she's not exactly going to solve them for you... she may even add to them :P

3. I've never had Soylent Green.... and now, I'm not so sure I want to!

4. We read 'The Handmaid's Tale' in yr 10. I thought it was an awesome novel. I'd have to say, one of the few school books that I genuinely enjoyed (along with Wuthering Heights and To Kill A Mockingbird).

5. My toenails are bright red (t)

6. 7 days less an hour and a half of work to go!

last day I'll show dvds and have a food fight....I'm down to 7 too lmao

Random thought:

I wish my fridge would defrost. Then I can put stuff back into it. I am just glad I don't have anything that will be permanently damaged by a bit of heat exposure.

And I think I have a cool place to take people in Germany to lunch, that few Europeans go to - there is a Sushi bar in town that I like, very good quality food (for starters the chef is actually Japanese), and now they have opened a noodle joint down the road from it, if my friends are *too* squeamish. And they serve Gyoza, my favourite dish.
