Yes, that's me in a toga.
Yeah I heard about the Swan's game last...Saturday? It had similarly wet and slippery conditions. Bad weather from the day before (when my Roosters played) was also present the following night. I guess the weather has a factor in the poor turnout.

I'd actually prefer to see a Tassie AFL side rather than a West Sydney side. West Sydney is saturated with rep teams across the sporting codes. And having one Sydney team in my mind would make a bt more financial sense than having two teams in roughly the same geographical area.

Another random thought - have the boffins over at CERN used their Large HAdron Collider yet? Are we going to be seeing black holes devouring Earth anytime soon?

I don't know, initial reports say no. However, I think that whatever they find with it will be awesome.

apparently, it's been done and all is well

now the next task is to try it in the reverse direction
then a collision is scheduled as the next step

i can envision several things going wrong in our preparations for ITLAP Day

mainly impaling oneself on one's cutlass,
being crushed in a Heimlich maneuver whilst practising ARRRRs due to being mistaken for someone choking,
getting into fights with other wannabe pirates and being arrested for dressing like a weirdo.....

Crikey, that takes me back! I must have read those nearly 20 years ago. A great story though.

They're good though. I must admit that I tracked them down and read them all last year. Took me ages to find the last two.
