Tasmania for the 18th AFL License!
First of all, I'd like to say I feel honoured by those glowing reccommendations. It should be interesting to see how NS2 pans out.

Secondly, random thought:

Looks like Thursday night has become 'Bad Taste Thursday' on Channel Nine - combining the previously cancelled Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos with the AFL Footy Show.

Thirdly, a rant:

AFL Tasmania a bunch of talentless, egotistical, no-brainer tossers. They have decided to get rid of the Tasmanian Devils VFL Club, with complete disregard of the supporters, members, and players. AFL Tasmania are clearly too busy in their ivory towers to notice what is best for Tasmania. They all need to be kicked out of office. (end rant)

1) You and Schnapps are the only ones of the 'old guard' left and, no offense to schnapps, but you do more or less run things and do a damn good job of it so I'd say you're eminently qualified.

2) I had noticed that. They're hardly helping they're terrible ratings by playing shows like that.

3) But they apparently still get paid regardless so thats all they're worried about.

Just let me know what I can do in regards to these forums, unless you are thinking of a new forums for NS2

No, not a new forums. I was thinking that we can do a nice reskin, open some new games and implement the last few changes that you've been working on, maybe even put the town hall bit into place. Just so that when people start signing up for the new game it isn't bogged down by baggage from the old game (which means I should probably leave, but I didn't say that it would be a complete workover :D)

there, happy now?

random thought: I wonder if Barack Obama actually has a serious shot at winning or if it will come down to the US public playing it safe?

been out of the school system for a while
went back to work in a local high school today

its fair to say that while the kids are much the same as ever, the education system is a total nightmare

what a mess!

Yes, that's me in a toga.
Watched the Roosters vs Dragons game tonight. It was one of the most brutal games I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Non stop rain was making play real sloppy, and some players were getting hurt real bad as a result. But the defence and playmaking by both sides were good.

And my Roosters won!

And Sypons, no offence taken. Haven't done much, and doing things seems like a lot of work. I don't even moderate these forums (am I still listed as moderating some of these forums? I'm too lazy to check)

Any thoughts on the AFL (ie: the lack of a crowd at the Sydney-North Melbourne game at ANZ Stadium on Saturday Night)?

http://www.news.com.au/mercury/comments/0,...0-13222,00.html

If the AFL are serious about West Sydney, then they need to have a hard look at themselves after the weekend's debackle. If they introduce a new team in the Sydney area, not only are they going flush money down the drain, they will probably cause the downfall of the Sydney Swans (and possibly other less financially stable Victorian clubs), all because of a greedy grab for money.

It would seem that AFL Operations have forgotten their purpose in Australian Rules Football. They are there to manage and maintain the most elite league in Australian Rule Football. They are not there to create revenue, they are to provide a stable, elite level of football. If there are profits, then that's a bonus - not the be all and end all.

I think the lack of support was due to a few reasons, lack of interest, the weather, the fact that the Swans are continually playing low scoring football etc. Changing subject I heard the Gold Coast have chosen blue, red and yellow as their team colours, stupid given the fact that Adelaide already have these colours and that Brisbane have maroon, blue and yellow which is very similar. I haven't actually seen the design of the jumper yet so maybe they are using a lighter blue rather than the navy blue of Adelaide so they might get away with it, I just thought it showed a lack of imagination.
