"Joss Whedon is my master now."
|
ok here goeswas 13, went horse riding - no expert but know the basics, stop, go, etc.. horses were mighty frisky after being kept indoors over a long, rainy weekend my horse spooked and bolted, i lost the reins and ended up with the foot part of the stirrup around my ankles the horse headed for two rows of barbed wire, one in front of the other i don't remember deciding to but i threw myself off the horse and did a tumble turn onto the ground before the horse could come to a full stop and throw me into the barbed wire when i woke up, i was lying on the ground and my right foot was facing the wrong way because of the way i'd landed, my foot had been turned in an almost full 360 degree circle, shattering my ankle bones and severing a lot of tendons, etc a rescue helicopter had to come and get me as there was no way for an ambulance to reach me the upshot was 44 stitches, two screws, full leg cast and 4 months on crutches, followed by 6 months of physio and then another operation to remove the screws, more physio and years of chiropractic sessions to put the rest of my body back in place i have most of my mobility back but very little feeling in the skin due to nerve damage - i still have problems with it and a massive scar on both sides of my leg but i don't care, due to the way i fell, it's very fortunate that i didn't break my neckso there, not nearly as dramatic as yours but that is my little war story

We should start a severed tendon club. Stats that were left out of my story: Total stiches aprox 150, 5 severed tendons (All of them) 6 scars inc. one on my right arse cheek from a skin graft, 1 chipped tooth, 1 small bald patch, aprox. 10 cm difference in arm length (I don't notice it because I grew up with it). And 22 free drinks to date.

Yes, that's me in a toga.

The Latvian contenders were tip-top. Gotta love a band that's a cross between the Wiggles and Pirates of the Carribean. |

i've been watching the semis on SBS over the past two nights and my eyes are still adjusting from the glare of bling and spray-tan....and the gosh-awful singing! i thought most of the songs i've seen so far have been a bit dull but the ensembles and routines have indeed been Eurovision trash-worthy ![]() (lead singer of past winning band, Lordi, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Garbledeenia, our resident Zombie overlord) |

Zlad is Molvania's entry into Eurovision several years back...his hit song Elektronik Supersonik is awesome. He skilfully uses the English language in this song such as "Let me put ring of Jupiter on your finger, and like a smell around you I will forever linger" |

And its why I don't. When that sort of thin happens on the net its ok. But when a once great musical institution becomes a joke... |
