I love carriers. By the way i was watching the history channel and they said that all U.S. Battleships have been de-commissioned and almost every other nations as well. I thought battleships would be the most necessary for victory since they defend the carriers and frigates. However I don't think the nations with Naval power are going to be attacking eachother any time soon so maybe it is a good idea. I don't know anyone want to talk about it...if so tell me to create a room or you can create one if you think it would be worthwhile.
I do not know with what weapons World War 3 will be fought, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones.

We don't use Battleships today because they are antiquated. We can squize all the firepower that would/could be supplied to a battleship in the modern day, into a frigate or cruiser, with the latest technology.

The Frigats and cruisers defend the carriers, and the firgates and cruisers defend themselves.

Naavl chiefs probably love the battleship, but there would be no need for it. It would be oversized, and costly to build, when all that would be ini t can be put into a smaller cruiser/frigate/destroyer.

As for the Japanese battleships they were -

The were the Yamato class, Yamato and Musashi.
