John Capuano of Philadelphia, Pa. (8.0): Best Match: AMW vs. XXX. Worst Match: Pat Kenny & Johnny B. Badd vs. The NYC. Overall, I thought Turning Point was a fun show. After the show was over, I felt I got my money's worth. I could have done without all of the ridiculously stupid skits, but after watching TNA for so long you're used to seeing stuff like that. AMW vs. XXX and Sabin vs. Williams (minus the finish) were great matches. There was even some decent undercard stuff (The six-man match with Garza comes to mind). Unfortunately Impact airs here at different times each week (sometimes as late as 2 a.m.) so I'm not up to date on all of the storylines, but as far as in-ring action goes, I was happy with everything, especially the two matches I listed above. One would think TNA would of ended the night with the Kings of Wrestling match, but they let the young guys shine. So, I'll give them credit where credit is due, and I feel they deserve credit for doing that. I thought this PPV was much better then Victory Road as well. In the end, I was happy I brought the show. I thought the cage match alone gave me my money's worth. Coming out of the PPV I thought to myself that we might finally see Christopher Daniels get his long awaited singles push in TNA that he deserves.

Ryan Heath of St. John, N.B. (6.0) Thi was the first TNA PPV I have ever witnessed. I found it to be okay, but the X Division match was incredible. The Kings of Wrestling gimmick is entertaining, but the Randy Savage run-in was awful. Watching Prime Time do that headscissors had me on my feet. I honestly thought he was going to fall off the cage first and kill himself.

Matt Guerra of Bayonne, N.J. (9.0): Best Match: Cage match. Worst Match: was the tag match between Johnny B. Badd & Pat Kenny vs. The NYC. I would have given this PPV a 10 if it were not for the outfits the Kings of Wrestling wore and the shape of the Macho Man. Hopefully TNA will not bring Savage back for anything else. He contributed nothing to the show. Hall and Nash were entertaining, but those outfits have to go. As for the rest of the PPV, TNA showed why they should be a success. They have some big guys DDP, Jarrett, Hall, and Nash and the other talent is just that; talent. The main event with XXX and AMW was impressive from start to finish. So was the Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin match. Those two matches alone carried the show. I enjoyed paying for this show, something I cannot say when I purchase a WWE event.

Joe Beason of Decatur, Ala. (9.0): Best Match: AMW vs. Triple X Six Sides of Steel. Worst Match: The NYC vs. Pat Kenney & Johnny B. Badd. First off I don't think there was one really bad match on the entire card. The only thing that came close was the NYC vs. Badd & Kenney tag team match and it wasn't so much bad, as it was just a throw away match that really didn't mean anything. Chris Sabin & Petey Williams put on a hell of a match that really had me on the edge of my seat. Although the cheap finish was a detractor, for me personally I think it actually served it's purpose of wanting to make me see Sabin & Williams again with some sort of gimmick to ensure a clean winner. Raven vs. DDP has an interesting brawl which wasn't mean to steal the show as much as provide a turning point in the Raven-Watts-DDP angle and it accomplished that rather effectively. Abyss & Monty Brown had a nice stiff garbage style match. These two really pounded on each other and gave a much better match than I thought possible. Abyss is the best big man worker in the business today and I feel like I can safely say Monty Brown has far surpassed Goldberg as a worker. I know that doesn't really say much for Brown but considering there similarities in background, style, charisma and push; I think it is a fair comparison. The Six Man Tag was pretty exciting and although I felt a little cheated that Savage didn't show up till the end, when he finally did came out I realized this match was better for keeping his appearance short. Jeff Jarrett is back in the best wrestling form I have seen him in, in years. I think losing the book maybe one of the best things to ever happen to his workrate. My hat is completely off to Scott Hall and especially Kevin Nash for the way they bumped for A.J. I think Nash took more flat back bumps in this match than he did in his entire final run in WWE. It was fun, exciting and really played to the strengths of everyone involved. Oh yeah, and body paint boy didn't blow any spots. Finally, we had my pick for match of the year, Triple X vs. AMW in Six Sides of Steel. This was a bloody, violent old school cage match with some new school spots. This was also the first match in a long time to actually get me out of my seat and have me screaming at the TV. This one match alone was worth the entire price of the show. I cannot say enough good things about it. It was everything I love about this sport rolled into one match. Blood, athleticism, drama, and some damn good wrestling. When they set up the spot for Elix to walk the top of the cage, I was literally screaming for him not to do it, but he pulled it off and it was one of the most death defying spots I have ever seen. I was in the crowd the night TNA was born and have caught just about every show they have ever done and I can honestly say this was TNA at their very best. I would rank this show right up there as the number two PPV of the year, only behind Wrestlemania XX.
