Information:

Founded in March of 2007, A World Power was once one of the largest regions in Nationstates, and is currently re-building to its former glory! We as a region hold no specific political ideology, but nations organise themselves into Great Houses of likeminded individuals. The leaders of the three largest Houses form a Triumvirate which is responsible for leading the region. We believe in open elections for all citizens of our region and operate a one of the major defender forces in the game, which protects regions across Nationstates from invasion.

Welcome to A World Power!

Our forum acts as the hub of our community, and is where our Government, Citizens Assembly, and Regional Defence Force are coordinated. But it's not all serious business! The legendary Rucket Park is full of polls, spam games and nonsense chat, our Role Playing Pavilion is the place for all your roleplaying needs, and the A World Power Center is where we get to know each other.

I intentionally put this as a poll in here knowing full well every member of the region can see this and vote on this, just not post on this.

I often find myself saying "lets get to work" whenever I campaign not fully knowing even what I am talking about, just providing new things in the senate, ways for us to maintain some order, whatever. So, I think we should all sit back for a second and really brain storm this. We've been heated over a lot recently, and this weekend I kinda got to take a step back and really think about things here (as opposed to just up and up quitting and leaving for 6 months like I've done in the past). We in the senate are really the only ones that are seeing things through with what we do around here, and it occurred to me that some things like a government reform, senate voting guidelines, and a new minister, people just don't care about, yet we constantly talk about people working and stuff.

Another tag line I have seen 3 times in one week have been "it's just a game afterall", something I've completely lost sight of, MANY times. So now's our time to listen to the poll above from everyone in this region, and to truly brainstorm around that. I think work should be really game aspect related things, such as recruitment from feeder to region, and from region to forum, and maintaining a fun atmosphere that people want to come back to every now and again.

So senate, (and citizens utilizing the polling above) what's "work" mean?

For me, "work" means RL. the place I get paid, which means I can live, support my house and occasional leisure activities - like here.

If specifically noted as "AWP work", it means different things depending on where I am.

-At RL work, I can get to the forums (on break) but not the game, so it means checking the Senate, making sure welcome TGs are up to date, etc.

-At home, I can get to NS briefly, but not to the forums for any major effort (iPhone sucks for reading/typing forums responses), so that means checking welcome TGs and occasionally finding a new piece of data for my 'issues' project.
