Information:

Founded in March of 2007, A World Power was once one of the largest regions in Nationstates, and is currently re-building to its former glory! We as a region hold no specific political ideology, but nations organise themselves into Great Houses of likeminded individuals. The leaders of the three largest Houses form a Triumvirate which is responsible for leading the region. We believe in open elections for all citizens of our region and operate a one of the major defender forces in the game, which protects regions across Nationstates from invasion.

Welcome to A World Power!

Our forum acts as the hub of our community, and is where our Government, Citizens Assembly, and Regional Defence Force are coordinated. But it's not all serious business! The legendary Rucket Park is full of polls, spam games and nonsense chat, our Role Playing Pavilion is the place for all your roleplaying needs, and the A World Power Center is where we get to know each other.

Thursday-A light snow will fall across the land covering forming slicks of ice so be cautious when outside. High of 35 low of 32.

Friday-The snow will start to fall heavier towards the afternoon and start to get thicker, ice is still a big concern. High of 32 low of 39.

Saturday-The snow fall will stay the same though what is already on the ground will be freezing over making it a crazy fun time to bust out a sled but people in cars should be wary. High of 29 low of 27.

Sunday-The snow will stop, the clouds will clear, and Mr. Sun will shine his face again helping to get these icy conditions under control. High of 36 low of 31.

Monday-The sun will yet a gain be shining in full force helping to curb the terrible ice slicks that are throughout the area especially on the roads. Some clouds will be moving in the area come nightfall. High of 34 low of 28.

Tuesday-More clouds will be covering the sky blocking a lot of the sun's beams, however, ther will not be any snowfall and the decent temperatures should prevent a major more ice from forming. High of 35 low of 31.

Wednesday-The snow will start to fall again, however, ice slicks shouldn't be as prevalent this time though we still advise caution. High of 34 low of 29.

This week's spotlight is on Biain the First

1. The President of the United States called you:
Probably tell him/her that she/he had the wrong number.

2. You won the lottery:
Buy presents for all my friends and family and invest what was left.

3. You got invited to be on a reality TV show:
Refuse.

4. You caught a friend stealing from you:
Be very angry and disown that person as a friend (this would depend on what was stolen of course).

5. You witnessed a murder:
Report it to the police, possibly try to apprehend the murderer.

6. A random stranger offered you candy:
Wouldn't take it.

7. MySpace and Facebook closed:
Not really be that bothered I only use it to keep in contact with my uni friends when at home.

8. A genie granted you one wish:
I would wish for magic powers.

9. You lost your favorite possession:
Obsessively look for it until I managed to find it.

10. You found 10 dollars on the ground:
where I found it, if it was in the middle of nowhere I would keep it, but if I thought I knew who it belonged too I would give it back to them.

11. Your date throws up on you:
Be disgusted at first but also find it amusing.

12. Someone cut off a chunk of your hair:
Be quite angry, I don't need any help losing my hair.

13. Your favorite celebrity comes to visit you:
Ask for an autograph and regal them with boring stories of my life.

14. You were stranded on an island with nothing but the ability to make one phone call:
Probably phone whoever I thought had the best chance of rescuing me, in this case the coastguard or navy.

NS Proflie:

Nation Name: The Empire of Biain the First

Quote: "What goes around comes around"

U.N. Category: Liberal Democratic Socialists

Civil Rights: Good

Economy: Strong

Political Freedoms: Excellent

Overview: The Empire of Biain the First is a massive, devout nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.43 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Healthcare, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Criminals are executed and their property seized, senior citizens are often found slaving away in factories, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and organ donation is compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Biain the First's national animal is the red panda, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the biain.

Biain the First is ranked 5th in the region and 3,827th in the world for Happiest Citizens.

FEUDALISM: You have two cows. Your lord takes some of the milk.

PURE SOCIALISM: You have two cows. The government takes them and puts them in a barn with everyone else's cows. You have to take care of all of the cows. The government gives you as much milk as you need.

BUREAUCRATIC SOCIALISM: You have two cows. The government takes them and put them in a barn with everyone else's cows. They are cared for by ex-chicken farmers. You have to take care of the chickens the government took from the chicken farmers. The government gives you as much milk and eggs as the regulations say you need.

FASCISM: You have two cows. The government takes both, hires you to take care of them and sells you the milk.

PURE COMMUNISM: You have two cows. Your neighbors help you take care of them, and you all share the milk.

RUSSIAN COMMUNISM: You have two cows. You have to take care of them, but the government takes all the milk.

CAMBODIAN COMMUNISM: You have two cows. The government takes both of them and shoots you.

DICTATORSHIP: You have two cows. The government takes both and drafts you.

PURE DEMOCRACY: You have two cows. Your neighbors decide who gets the milk.

REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY: You have two cows. Your neighbors pick someone to tell you who gets the milk.

BUREAUCRACY: You have two cows. At first the government regulates what you can feed them and when you can milk them. Then it pays you not to milk them. Then it takes both, shoots one, milks the other and pours the milk down the drain. Then it requires you to fill out forms accounting for the missing cows.

PURE ANARCHY: You have two cows. Either you sell the milk at a fair price or your neighbors try to take the cows and kill you.

LIBERTARIAN/ANARCHO-CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

SURREALISM: You have two giraffes. The government requires you to take harmonica lessons
