This is not meant to be a complete guide to the NationStates (NS) game. This is just a little information to get you started. For a more complete explanation, please see the FAQ available on the side-bar at http://www.nationstates.net To be honest, the actual NationStates (NS) game is simple, repetitive, and sometimes boring. That is why the forum is such an important part of the region. By having such a large forum with so many things to do, we keep the game more interesting than it would be otherwise. Issues Every day, nations log on to check and answer their “issues.” Issues are political decisions that players make, which shape their nations as a result. The choices you make on your issues directly affect your civil rights, economic, and political freedom levels, as well as your tax rate. Over time, they also determine what type of government you have—from a “Corrupt Dictatorship” to “Anarchy.” You can decide how often issues come to you by clicking on “Settings” in the side-bar on the NS game. The WA To have any sort of influence in NS, you should consider joining the WA. By being a member, your nation can endorse other nations, and also receive endorsements. You may also vote on the current WA resolution, shown by clicking on “United Nations” in the side-bar on NS. With two endorsements, you are allowed to submit proposals to the WA, which may be put up for a vote if they receive enough support. Even though you may create more than one nation, you are only allowed to have one nation in the UN at a time. This is important. Violating this rule could get you ejected from the WA permanently or, even worse, deleted permanently. Invasions and Defenses Most nations use the WA for a different purpose, however – invasions and defense from invasions. Invasions occur when a flood of WA nations join a region and all endorse one invader nation (called an “invader lead”). The goal of invaders is to unseat the native WA Delegate of a region, and thereby take over the region. If the invader lead’s number of endorsements is higher than that of the native Delegate at the time of update (usually between midnight and 4 am, EST), then the invader lead becomes the delegate and can take over the region, disrupt it, and even destroy the region. 00000 A World Power is strongly against invaders. In our early history, a nation became delegate and kicked out over 20 nations. I felt extremely angry when I woke up in the morning to find myself in the rejected realms... It is the goal of the regional defense force to keep that from happening to other regions. Being in the defense force you basically do a counter invasion. You find out who the old delegate was and then move all the nations to that region and endorse the old delegate and the true delegate is returned to power. This not only returns power to the natives ofthe region but gives our region a good name. I hope we will soon be feared and loved. Joining the Regional Defense Force is an important part of the region, please do! (soz if I copied you neas) |

Tips on nationstates 1. Set your issues to 2 per day. Figure this one out yourself 2. Find a better flag 3. Join the UN or make a puppet. Puppet=multi 4. ONLY ONE NATION IN THE UN. Thank You 5. Endorse the delegate, that usually is a good thing To get posts, go to the market place and reply to all the threads you can. The counting ones are the easist |

This member likes it when you give sensitive defender info to the wolves. Don't brag on your sig. Duverger's law — Winner-take-all electoral systems tend to create a two party system, while proportional representation tends to create a multiple party system. | |
