Blending Text With Background

Tutorial:

This tutorial will help you create this:

Step 1:

Open up a new document
Set width to 374
Set height to 114
Label it anything you want

Step 2:

Save the following image in your computer:

Open up the above image in Photoshop.
Now go to Edit > define pattern > Label it anything you want.

Step 3:

Go back to your main document.
Go to Edit > fill... > select the background from above through the custom patterns toolbar.

Now the entire background should be that background image. Good, we're nearly done!

Step 4:

Make a new layer by going to Layer > new... > layer
Select the text tool from the tool bar:

And now click near the middle of the image. Set the font to Arial Black, size to 36 pt. Set the font type to smooth. Now type in whatever you want!

Step 5:

Now we'll get the color's for the text. Select the Eye Dropper tool. It is located two tools below the text tool.
Select a color near the top. Now press X, which switchs foreground and background.
Now select a color near the bottom.

Do not mess with the colors now!

Step 6:

The final step, adding effects to the text!

Right click on the text layer and select Blending Options. In put the following settings:

For the following settings, select the third gradient from the dropdown menu:

And then you should come out with something like this:
