Title: Fix edges of a poor quality silhouette
additional credit: n/a
Tutorial:
Maybe you found an awesome silhouette for an image you wanted to create but the edges are extremely messed up and blurry from resizing or just because of the quality of the picture. This tutorial shows you how to make the edges perfect so you can have a crisp, clean silhouette.

Step 1
Find your image.
I will use this one.

Step 2
Using the Magic Wand Tool, select the entire background. Hit delete on your keyboard to delete it. Create a new layer and fill it with white, and put that layer underneath the silhouette layer.
Step 3
Select the silhouette layer and go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur, and give it 2-4 radius blur, depending on your edges. Blurry edges put 2 as the radius, messed up and pixelly edges do about 3-4.

Step 4
Go to Filter>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask and Set the Amount to 100%, make the Threshold 0 levels and play with the Radius until you get something crisp.

If you get some color on the edges, go to the next step.
Step 5
So you came out with something like this?

Select your silhouette layer, and press CTRL+SHIFT+U (Image>Adjustments>Desaturate). Select your eraser tool, and use any size default round brush on brush mode, 100% Opacity and Fill.
