![]() After the timely sacking of legendary coach Ernie Merrick, after Melbourne Victory's less-than-impressive 2010-2011 season, Mehmet Durakovic, a former Socceroo's player, was been called up to assist Melbourne Victory in returning to the winning list, and relive there glory days during the early A-League days. After 9 rounds of hell for the Victory, only winning 2 games, drawing 5 and losing another 2, with a huge number of penalties given and a large number of yellow and red cards handed out to them, Mehmet Durakovic has been put in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. With the Victory now placed 7th on the ladder, it seems that even the likes of legends Harry Kewell, Archie Thompson and Carlos Hernandez cannot redeem the failing Melbourne Victory side. Even the fans have grown to hate Durakovic. During the impressive win 3-2 with 10 men by the Melbourne Victory against Gold Coast United, many of the fans were chanting hateful messages to the coach, including "You're getting sacked in the morning" which went on for most of the game when the Victory were losing. The next two weeks will be make-or-break for both the Melbourne Victory and Durakovic, as they will need to take maximum points from these two games to have a good chance of reaching the finals. So what do you guys think? Should Durakovic be let off now or should they wait until the end of the season to sack him? |

They should at least wait till the end of the season (once Melbourne Heart win the Grand Final) and then consider it, cause it cant all be his fault. Harry Kewell isn't exactly young anymore and the reason he still isn't playing EPL is because he too old now. Look at the AFL Western Bulldogs got Barry Hall in 2010 and everyone thought the Flag was ours (including me). You cant just expect one player to transform your team into superstars. |

I am surprised about Melbourne's poor performance because even with Kewell they have great talent! I feel sorry for Durakovic, but if nothing changes in the coming weeks then it may be time to try another coach. |

Sometimes it's coaches fault but the teams fault. The coach needs a season to start fresh and do things his way. Red and Yellow cards aren't really his fault are they? |
