![]() Brett Emerton (right) scored 1 of Sydney's 2 goals against Brisbane. This news is a few days old but is definitely worthy of posting! The defending A-League Champs, Brisbane Roar were finally defeated by Sydney F.C last weekend ending a 36 match winning streak. That 36 games streak is the highest of any professional sporting code in Australian history and beat the record of 35 set in 1936 by Eastern Suburbs rugby league club. The win by Sydney F.C has moved it to the 3rd in the 2011/12 A-League Championship after 9 rounds. It will be interesting to see how Brisbane will react after their first loss in 448 days! |

Thank god they lost! It was only a matter of time before they lost, but if they had gone through the whole season without losing, and then got into the Grand Final, I would bet $100 on them choking and losing there ;D I didn't expect Sydney to be the ones to beat them though :O |

I am not so sure. They could bounce back harder than ever! Anyway it was a great game but Sydney FC and they deserved the victory. 2 nil is pretty impressive and a convincing victory too! |

Of course Brisbane will bounce back!!! To be honest, the only other team that has the potential to be the best in the A-League (once again) is Melbourne Victory, but Mehmet Durakovic does not know how to use the stellar line up of stars that they have! All I can says is OFF WITH HIS HEAD! xD |

I can't believe Brisbane lost to Melbourne Heart 2-1! That's two losses in a row. There is definitely a small chink in their armour now! |

LOL R-M-B as if you actually follow the A-League xD I used to follow the Victory, but now I really don't care because the pace of the game can't compare to anything around the world! I mean, the VPL is actually better than the A-League... I go to MVFC games against my will, like tonight :/ |

I am liking the A-League more and more. Fox Sports shows all the games and I catch at least one each week. Also following Melbourne Victory is like riding a roller coaster. |

Bloody Victory. They had a draw again, this time with Adelaide United. |

I don't watch Australian football as much as I watch the other leagues, but 36 wins is something great! It's good to see them get that far but it's also good to see them get beaten! Not surprising that they were beat again not long after though. It's only natural that a loss after 36 wins puts some heads down. |

Well to be fair Lumi, the game was one of the best I have EVER watched against Melbourne Victory and Adelaide (the 6-0 Grand Final will always have a place in my heart ♥)! The game was actually quite fast paced for both teams, but the Melbourne Victory showed their true potential, dominating the whole game and keeping the ball at their attacking end of the pitch for most of the game! Kewell only needed a goal to be named Man of the Match, and he was very unlucky not to score quite a number of times! The whole team played well and it is a good sign for a struggling Victory side... If they play like they did against Adelaide, and actually find the netting, then maybe the Victory can make the finals! Here is possibly my favourite moment of the game xD Shows the true 'strength' of the Adelaide team!!! Bunch of diving scum they are... |

That's pathetic, and that is the exact reason I prefer to watch the lower professional leagues. They seem to be more physical and don't dive as much. This is what gives football the bad name, and this isn't how football really is. |
