EPL: Manchester City beat United 6-1

Edin Dzeko scored 2 goals for Manchester City.

In sharp contrast to the rather tame Melbourne derby between the Heart and the Victory in the A-League, the Manchester derby in the English Premier League was an explosive affair. This was the match between No.1 and No.2 in the Barclay's EPL League Table.

After a massive cash infusion during the pre-season, Manchester City have many multi million dollar players and have been dominant so far this season. Last years champs Manchester United haven't had too bad a start themselves but they will forever remember this match between their cross town rivals at Old Trafford. Unfortunately it will be for all the wrong reasons.

In a totally dominant affair Manchester City scored 6 goals, 5 of which were in the 2nd half. The last 3 goals by City were all scored in injury time to totally humiliate last years premiers! This was also United's worst loss with Alex Ferguson as coach.

Final Scores:
Manchester City 6 (Balotelli 22,60 - Aguero 69 - Dzeko 90,90 - Silva 90)
Manchester United 1 (Fletcher 81)

Just watched this game, don't really support either teams but was probably rooting for city. Couldn't help but laugh at the poor effort put into the game at the end by United. the last 3 goals seemed to go by in a flash.

Yeah I watched it too. At the end of the first half United looked frustrated but I never thought it would turn out so bad for them!

I am a Liverpool supporter, so I obviously don't follow these two, but thank GOD

Now I can give shit to Ricky who kept bagging me about the draw, even though Liverpool played 10x better :P

Ohhhhh he is going to be mad

Yeah most would have expected a draw or at least a tight game but City blew United away.

Would love to see how City would fare against Barcelona as they are now.

City didn't stop even after they were one man and a few goals up, they kept playing professionally which is what you need. Like Scope I don't support either teams but I can give City a clap :P

Soccer isn't really my thing but a five goal difference is huge!

Sometimes people don't even score a goal, but I guess once your down by about 3 goals you give up thus making it easier to score another 2...
