![]() Is the Call of Duty Elite service coming to Wii? The answer one person got from an Activision service rep was "I Believe it is.". It's also worth noting that in the Wii Forums at Callofduty.com, there is even a COD Elite FAQ pinned. Does this mean DLC is confirmed for MW3 Wii? Don't be too excited as Elite has 2 parts, a free service and a premium service. If Elite is indeed coming to Wii, then it may just be access to the free service. Fingers crossed guys! Discuss your thoughts below! UPDATE: The game has been released and there is no Elite to be seen! Oh well! I don't really want the payed service. It don't like buying a game then paying each month to keep playing. Te free service will be good though

Well surely the Premium service would only apply if Activision actually has plans for DLC on the Wii version of MW3! |

Yeah that's exactly right Lum, I don't see them giving premium to wii members without DLC, problem is that they didn't give DLC to Black Ops so I don't see a change there. |

I think it would just be tracking of stats and clans and stuff. I doubt after that debacle between Activision and Nintendo about the Wiis blowing up we are getting dlc. |

Well if Nintendo really cared about Wii's blowing up, wouldn't they just not license MW3 for Wii? Additional DLC stored on an SD card won't harm the Wii anyway! There would be two factors stopping DLC. Nintendo themselves have to absorb the costs of the traffic and may seek payment from Activision. Activision would probably say screw you and then we all get no DLC! Edited by Luminal, Oct 14 2011, 06:17 PM.

CoD Elite... Wii?? YOU PEOPLE BE CRAZY MAN! WHAT WEIRD SHIT ARE YOU ALL SMOKING ![]() Naah just kidding ![]() I know I am on leave, but I think this is worth posting on ![]() You guys obviously didn't read the full email...
Now, considering the fact that it clearly says 'Since that is where the DLC is going to come from' it must mean that there will be DLC. And who knows, maybe the maps were actually designed and coded a while ago (considering leaks were found on the internet months ago) on the PS3/360/PC, so who is to say that Treyarch didn't receive the code so they could code it onto the Wii Version of MW3??? I don't think it takes 3 or 4 months to code it... We already established that Treyarch got lazy with Black Ops Wii as it really doesn't take THAT long lol. ACTUALLY THIS MIGHT EXPLAIN THE LAZINESS TOWARDS BLACK OPS WII! Maybe Activision gave Treyarch the rights to the Wii Version when the game was early in development (which was just after the release of Black Ops... well it was before but they officially started after it haha), so then Infinity Ward could have given them the designs of all the maps, with all of the colors and everything to be included, and then they could work on them so they would be ready on release day for Modern Warfare 3, or at least released a month or two after! It does explain why Treyarch didn't keep there promise of releasing DLC for Black Ops Wii... ANYWHO, I do hope you Wii guys get the DLC... it is a bit unfair that you never received the Black Ops ones, though the multiplayer maps were absolutely horrible, bar Hazard (remake of Cliffside). It could be a hoax though so don't keep your hopes up too high ![]() OK I GO NOW HAPPY? ;P |

I certainly read it that way but after being promised DLC on Black Ops I won't be holding my breath! The other thing that backs up the DLC argument though is that Treyarch will only be working on a Wii version this year. NO PS3/360 version for them to worry about. They would have much more resources at their disposal this year if required. Edited by Luminal, Oct 14 2011, 11:46 PM.

I think there will be forms of stat tracking and perhaps even some competition involved, but DLC may be a stretch, since it means that you will be getting it regularly under Elite as opposed to non elite which is every 3 months for PS3 and 360, and factor in the other reiterations of COD on Wii and it doesn't seem that likely. But part of the costs in buying Elite is buying map packs! So my view is that there will be map packs, but not as large or as many as the other consoles. Also with Spec Ops, Survival, and SP and MP all in the game, some compromise in bringing even more content seems very likely. Edited by ANWA-LostBrink, Oct 15 2011, 01:42 PM.

If they offer me a paid service with DLC I would take that option. ![]() But like Lum I will not hold my breath either, they have let us all down before.

There is no information about what possible modes will be in Modern Warfare 3 for Wii. The only thing we have to go on, is that email from Activision. I doubt we will be solving any of these mysteries until after launch. If DLC is coming though, Elite will probably still be cheaper than purchasing individual map packs throughout the year as with the PS3/360 service. Edited by Luminal, Oct 16 2011, 01:03 PM.

It was a nice Email to find, & we only have a Month to wait now anyway. So are you getting MW3 for your Wii as well Lum, or are you just going PS3 this year ? |
