Well that's a weird looking device for sure. On one side it contains 3 RCA plugs and a Super VHS port and the other side it's USB. What happens when you connect everything? Did you get any software with it?

I HAVE ONE OF THOSE!!!!! I use it when I can. but my sound is screwed lol. Wow you spent 50 bucks??? Mine was $15 ![]() Well, you will need 3 of these which are around $7-$10 each. They are AV Splitters: ![]() Then you will need one of these. It is like a double sided AV Cord (in this picture the rest of the cord is cut off, but there are two ends to it): ![]() And then you connect it all up! Your Easycap should have come with a Disc that would install the driver to your computer and then it has a program to record (I don't use that program I use a free version of AMCap but still). You will need to install the driver and then install the recorder. When connecting it up, all of the cords need to be in the same plug as the corresponding color. The 'male' end of the splitters will be connected to the three colored AV Cords on the Easycap (as in your picture), and then the 'female' ends will connect the double sided AV Splitter and the actual Wii/PS3/Xbox 360 cord (must be the normal cable that plays standard definition). If you need some help feel free to PM me and we can talk on chat or something... if you have Skype and a webcam you can show me what you are doing and I can help you but it is your choice (I will need to set-up my Skype account then haha).Hope it helps ![]() SC(+)PE |

That is an S-Video cord Luminal, not Super VHS. RMB, do what Scope says pretty much. Except, you would get better quality recording if you use the S Video cord instead of the yellow cord in the RCA's. Except that can cost a bit more. |

I've got it all up and running (thanks for the help) but while its on my tv as normal its appearing on both the software that came on the disc and on the AMCap program as in Black & White, is this a problem or will it appear in colour after its recorded or do I have to change some sort of settings to change it to colour? |

um yeah on the software that came on the disc I changed the format to PAL but it was still in black and white, also it was a bit off centre to when I recorded me playing Classic Mario Bros. you could only just see the top half of mario, ======================== don't worry I just figured my problem out then, now I hope to record something Edited by ANWA-R-M-B, Sep 29 2011, 12:55 PM.

I have the same thing with my dazzle. I had to open the amcap and then had to go to options>video capture filter/rederer(can't remember which one) and i had to change it to secam B or D. Either one works. Just saw you figured it out, look forward to seeing what you record. Edited by ANWA-Freed, Sep 29 2011, 01:08 PM.

I've had my EasyCap for a while, but how I've connected mine up, the only way I can do it is when I record stuff from theater mode. Because if I was to record video live, I know it would be in AV cable quality, but my picture only comes up on the laptop, not the TV? In other words, how do I get the picture to be on the TV while I'm recording, with it on the laptop as well? |

Ok. I'm guessing it pretty much splits everything between the TV and the laptop. I'm really trying to convince myself to fork out a bit of money to buy a HD PVR but I just don't know. |
