My dad just lent me his Bose Speakers to test out to see if I want them and I love them, This is what it says on site: Our most affordable computer speaker system puts Bose® sound within reach A performance upgrade over most conventional computer speakers Contemporary, elegant appearance Dual inputs for easy connection to computer and additional audio sources Enjoy Bose sound for your computer with Companion 2 Series II multimedia speakers. This PC speaker system is engineered to Bose standards for improved sound performance over most conventional computer speakers. And their contemporary appearance complements any laptop or PC. The Companion 2 system provides a spacious soundstage that seems to extend beyond the speakers themselves. You'll notice it most while sitting right at your computer. You may also detect more lower-note presence than you've experienced with other computer sound systems. Your music, movies and games should sound fuller and more satisfying. Desktop convenience Dual inputs on these multimedia computer speakers make it a snap to connect to your computer and, at the same time, your MP3 player or another portable audio source. Volume control and headphone jack are within easy reach on the front of the right speaker. Setup is easy. Just plug in the power cord and the input cable to your computer, and you're ready to play. Step up to Bose sound and hear more of what your computer has to offer, with the Companion 2 Series II multimedia speaker system. Features Proprietary TrueSpace® stereo digital processing circuitry creates a wide two-channel soundstage engineered specifically for listening at your computer. Ported cabinet design provides fuller music and deeper movie/gaming special effects from a small enclosure. Automatic tonal balance provides convincing audio performance at practically any listening level. Magnetically shielded speakers prevent monitor interference or damage to magnetic media. Dual inputs let you enjoy two audio sources simultaneously—one to your computer, the other to a portable audio device. Convenient control and headphone jack placement allow easy access to volume control and headphone connection. http://worldwide.bose.com/axa/en_au/web/companion_2/page.html They have so many different speakers, the sound is so amazing best thing I've ever heard in my life, Surround sound and the best thing about it is that it's $150 and you could pick up a used one for less then that. I will certainly be getting a pair of these when I have the spare money, they also make docking stations for your iPods and iPhones and instead of spending $200 on some crap sound pay double the amount and get friggin' AWESOME sound! This model here is the $1,000 model which I think my dad has but I love it, I'd buy the $400 model but I already have another brand of Docking station which I love named Altec which is like $200, I will also add about the sound with Bose, they have low notes and higher notes not all the same which makes it also sound amazing. |

I have a Bose docking station for my iPod and the sound quality is absolutely amazing on it. I would spend $150 on a good set of headphones (cups, not iPod style ones) rather than a set of PC speakers. Better quality and cheaper. And less wires. |

LOL Bose are 1 of the best manufacturers of Sound Speakers in the World guy's. They have been around for a heck of a long time. 1 of the first jobs I ever had was in a TV/Video repair shop, fixing well everything electrical that needed fixing. We used to replace peoples blown speakers, with brand new Bose Speakers all the time. As the Bose Speaker rarely ever came back in for replacing a second time. Honestly we hated tape recorders those thing's just sucked to repair but there speakers worked great.

I am not sure I am ready to put all my CD's on an iPod thingy. The thought of scrolling through like 3000 songs to find what I want to listen to is to much for me to bother with really. I think I will just stick to my Stereo CD player for the time being. Then I have more money to waste on Games & things instead. |

Strangely enough I have never heard of this brand (might have bit just forgotten). So are they just all that good? ![]() I've never really worried to much about sound. For my iPod it's just the original iPod ones which break after 1 week, or my $10 in ear headphones. Don't call me cheap. I call it saving One day I will find out what im missing out on!
