![]() Harry Kewell arrived in Melbourne yesterday to an awaiting pack of Melbourne Victory fans and media alike. The Socceroos star, who has never ever played in Australia after leaving for the UK as a teenager, recently signed a 3 year deal with the Victory. Kewell is set to make his debut for his new club in the A-League on October 8 against Sydney FC at Etihad Stadium. Unfortunately, Brett Emerton, Sydney's new signing is not expected to play. Kewell and Emerton are team mates in the Socceroos. The arrival of Kewell and Emerton is a huge coup for the Hyundai A-League and the opening game between the two Australian Soccer Giants is expected to draw record crowds. |

It will be interesting to see how the Victory go this season crowd wise and performance wise compared to last season when they didn't have Harry Kewell |

Well personally I have been seriously considering becoming a Victory member now but none of my friends like Soccer. |

I'm not much of a soccer person but I do enjoy watching Melbourne Heart on TV occasionally, but I have to admit that Alex Terra is no Harry Kewell |

Yeah I am a Melbourne Victory member, and I have been for around 4 or 5 years (I hate A-League but my mums paying for my membership so I may as well go :P) It is great to see Kewell at the Victory, and it is great to see Emerton at Sydney. Both teams will be very strong this year, and the first game in Melborune will be VEEEERY interesting to watch haha |

That's a huge pick up for Victory, I don't watch much soccer either. But it's nice to see some experienced talent in the teams. The State comps should be interesting all right. I wonder how Perth Glory will go this year... They haven't been so crash hot the last few years.
