The Japanese release date for the attachment has been announced for December 10. It will cost ¥1,500 (AU$19). Here are the games that are already confirmed to use the attachment:

* Monster Hunter Tri G
* Resident Evil: Revelations
* Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D
* Ace Combat 3: Cross Rumble
* VS Shin Sangoku Musou Versus
* Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

In further news, the attachment has been confirmed to require 1 AAA battery and will not drain the 3DS' internal battery.

I agree, if I could play the exact same game on a handheld or normal console, I would choose the normal console 90% of the time. There is only a few games made for the PS3 and Wii that I think would be better off as a handheld game.

Who knows? That might be why the DS sold more than the PSP? Maybe people thought the PSP was too much like the PS2, whereas the DS was a totally different thing altogether.

And as Luminal said, Ports have never sold as much as games made specifically for the handhelds.
