Well Dick Smith had the 3DS for $199. Now that was an awesome deal. I play my 3DS every day and have clocked over 300 hours on just the games I have bought or downloaded so I am planning to buy Star Fox just to have something new to play.

I am planning of eventually picking up Star Fox, but i'm not sure when. As not many people are or have been, I have so far been a little bit disappointed with OoT. I mean, when you compare it with Twilight Princess, it's just simply not as good. And that's not it's fault, it's quite the old game now, but I don't want the same thing with Star Fox. I am definitely picking up Mario Kart and Cave Story and Super Mario 3D Land and Bit.Trip and Icarus and MGS but all those games (with the exception of MGS, which still isn't that old) are nearly brand new. Can someone please get it and tell me id it's worth getting, because all these reviews of remakes of old games are made by people who have clocked thousands of hours into the original game, and therefore are untrustworthy.

Man i remember playing this on N64!!!!!! Thats awesome they are adding slight new features that won't ruin the game but enhance it. That is the type of rehash or port they they should have done with zelda and other ports

See this is my point, Green here remembers playing it on his 64, yet I never had a 64 (however by chance I was born on the exact same day the 64 was released), and therefore never played Star Fox, and therefore I would get no deja vu out of it. If that's half of what sets this game out, then there is no way i'm getting it.

Well Nintendolife.com have reviewed the game with an 8 out of 10. The have stated that the graphics have been updated significantly and the game works well using multiple control schemes including gyroscopic controls too. He is their reviews conclusion:

Quote:

The beauty of Star Fox 64 3D is that it provides a quick pick up and play experience that is guaranteed to provide an adrenaline rush. The original was renowned for its exciting action, and this title takes that original material and enhances it with much improved graphics and a gloriously smooth frame rate. The only complaints are the lack of online multiplayer and the fact that, content-wise, this game is almost the same as the original. Yet, this release can provide thrills and addictive shoot-em-up action to both veterans and those new to the game, its irrepressible energy enough to make us forget that we’ve done it all before.
