I would laugh my gut's out if it was all a complete muck up by Sony themselves instead. But if it is hackers that have done all of this damage to Sony brand PS Network. That would certainly make a lot of people think twice before going online at all. Because if they can hack 1 thing they can hack everything. |

I don't think that hackers would care about individual accounts. I also heard that some of the senior producers and designers accounts got hacked. |

Well its probably something that needed to happen, this way Sony can increase its protection from hackers before anything really bad happened |

Microsoft went through this in 2007 didn't they? Apparently it was down for 13 days straight and has never been hacked (like this) again. |

Playstation are not being hacked my anonymous, they are merely an annoyance and sony are just rebuilding to prepare for the worst. PSN could easily keep going right now. in a way, sony are getting back at anonymous - by stopping psn, how many people rage at anonymous ? millions. also dont get your hopes up kance, this will no doubt happen to all consoles, including xbox, and when it does you will have more to lose its probably better doing this sooner than later

Fact of the matter is, Microsoft will be prepared for hackers - likley have double the staff to fix the problem and undoubtably have exprience in this area through their main business. So am I worried - not really. Now to go on XBOX live..... |

playstation are know for being slack with there security. look at MW2. when hackers opened that up with the "VIP" hack Sony blamed everyone except there own software. Funny it couldn't be done on Xbox Live. If Sony are getting serious about stopping hacking then it can only be a good thing. ANWATXT - if Live went down i would be angry. Not as calm as the Sony fanboys appear to be. |

I'm pissed. This is the fifth day it has been down. There is just no point to rage because the is nothing I can do about it. |

Clockwork, the mw2 hacks were out on xbox first, and have always been worse on xbox until recently when the ps3 ones got really bad but an update fixed them. i agree with you dloc it will be easier to sort out for them but it wont take long for things to be lost, xbox live points maybe or something like that. and someone hacking xbox probably knows the chances of their attack failing so they will be working on it right now and probably for years. |

ok there has been another up date 26th I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time. As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly. We’ll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience. in other words it could be up and running tommorow or in a week we just dont no Edited by ANWA-Galaxy, Apr 26 2011, 03:41 PM.

Wow. This is so bloody boring. There is a status indicator at http://au.playstation.com/psn/ in the top right corner telling you the network status. Being offline, it is red. I have taken to calling that red dot the RLOD, or the Red Light of Depression.

I'd rather get my hands on a Dazzle but if the network is down for too much longer, I might just go and do that! |

Have you been playing the Wii at all while the PSN has been down Gal ? I am definitely playing some BOps tonight I feel the burn for a few games. As long as the hosts don't quit the second I jump into the lobby... ![]() Some nights it happens so often I just turn off and don't bother for a day or 2. |
