3DS vs PSP2...

I may have made this post a while ago, but i cant seem to find it anywhere so i made the topic again D:

With the 3DS coming out next month, and the PSP2 coming out late 2011, the handheld will need to pick one of these to go with.

The 3DS is an amazing achievement by Nintendo. The graphics actually look really nice, and the 3D effect works really well (I haven't tested it yet but everyone says it is really good). It can strain your eyes a bit, but the 3D slider is a great addition, as you can play games in both 2D and 3D, and also adjust the depth.

It also has 2 cameras at the back, so you can take 3D pictures, and the game lineup is pretty good, but it should have Mario and Zelda. The analog stick is a very nice addition to the 3DS as well, as a D-Pad can get quite annoying.

The PSP2 is definitely a fantastic handheld, no doubt, but 3D seems to appeal to more people, so can it compete?

It has a much larger screen (5 inches, 16:9) than the 3DS, and it is touch screen, but at the back it has another touch pad, which could be a massive success, or a huge fail. The dual analog sticks is a great idea, but it could get awkward, as it is much wider than the PS3 controller, which can get uncomfortable at times.

The game lineup is much better than the 3DS, with Uncharted, Call of Duty and Metal Gear Solid 4 announced and will be released during the release window.

Both of these 2 two handhelds are very risky, and could succeed, or badly fail. Considering the fact that the DS did much better than the PSP could indicate that the 3DS will be superior, and the 3DS is for more casual gamers and kids, while the PSP2 is more for hardcore gamers.

So what will you guys be getting?

I am definitely getting the 3DS, but not until Mario and Zelda come out... but I will get Asphalt 3D and PES 3D

The 3DS is still the only one of the two guaranteed to sell well worldwide! Still you cannot count out Sony and they will be doing their very best to make the PSP2 number 1!

The PSP2 will have more powerful hardware so it will likely be the most powerful handheld for a while after it's release! Still the games are what matter and like with DS vs PSP, Sony will have a hard time competing with Nintendo who on the handheld front have no problems getting massive 3rd Party support!

So summing up Nintendo are the favourites this time but shouldn't get complacent!
