If you liked the original Goldeneye on N64 this game is almost a must buy. While the multiplayer mechanics are very Call of Duty, the single player game is classic Goldeneye with modern day updates to bring it into line with current day shooters. The game supports 4 player multiplayer battles on one Wii which is a first as far as I know. The online game however has some drawbacks. There is a Levelling system like Call of Duty but unlike that game, you cannot update your class (called loadouts in GE) while in a lobby. This means you must quit your game to update your class because of any guns, attachments received whilst online. A silly and annoying flaw. Also the game uses 2 way friend codes and obviously didn't learn from Black Ops Wii's far superior system. Also worth mentioning is that on the default classic controller setting, sprinting and picking up a gun are the same button and you often accidently change weapons when sprinting. Another flaw overcome by Treyarch since Call of Duty: World At War. Having said all of that the game is still very good if a little backward if you compare it to any of Wii COD games as far as interface and features. The maps have been excellently crafted and are as interesting as any COD maps. The graphics are also a highlight and easily amongst the most impressive Wii games technically. If you can spare the cash I would say go for it. It is still a great first person shooter and probably wouldn't have been overlooked by most if it wasn't for its misguided release date shortly before Black Ops. Thanks Luminal for that. Handy. Is this game supported with the controller pack for the remote. Because thats how goldeneye (like all the COD games) has been played. Just I think I'd prefer playing it with the controller. |

Yes it supports the Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, Gamecube Controller as well as the Wii Remote & Nunchuk combination. If you play BO Wii with a CCP then it's the identical set up on Goldeneye. Edited by Luminal, Jan 6 2011, 09:04 PM.

I'd give it a 5/10. For it being a sequel to golden eye, and the gameplay. Multiplayer lacks, it's laggy. It'll be the most colorful game you'll ever see. There are unique gamemodes, and Similar to COD gamemodes for example One in the Chamber - Golden Gun. Single player is the only thing that is worth playing in the game. |

Yeah the single player is the highlight and while I disagree with you on the online game, I agree that if you play Black Ops Online on Wii your not going to bother much with Goldeneye. |

ive seen bo on wii and it doesnt look that good, to me goldeneye looks more fun but everyone seems to think that leveling up is the main part of any game, in bc2 you unlock new weapons and so on by playing good to get xp I really think you need to forget how COD works and give goldeneye a chance
