It took me nearly 1 hour to do the census online. There were 6 people living here at the moment though !!

I should have packed them all off on holiday for a few days

Lol ... Didn't take me long at all ... Just the three of us now and none of us are working or done anything worthy so other than putting in our mortgage payments there wasn't anything else they wanted to know

Did seem a bit nosey beyond the call of duty didn't it?
They already have a lot of the information so can't be bothered to pull it together I suppose.
For example they have everyones income details at the ATO.

Twas easy for me this time though as my son decided to sit down and do it online for the 4 of us.

our census was exactly the same, apparently they need all the info for the future (as in planning and local community structure)- for schools etc - yeah right.
I did ours online and it only took a few mins due to me not working and boys being under 18

The questions about your employers address, and the 2 questions: What is your job Description and What do you do in your job, did seem overboard. I can't recall those on previous census forms.

Occupation: I put myself down as part time self employed.

Job Description? Web designer
What do you do in your job? Design Webs
Where do you work?
What is your employers address?
How many Hours did you do last week?
How much did you get paid?

Go back a few question, and restart:

Occupation: I put myself down as Retired.......
:D

Indeed

The more complex and lengthy they make it, the less acurate it will become.

I did ours when I knew I was going to be out of a job on the night, but then had to say I'd been employed the previous week. Submitted and then found out they were giving me three weeks notice so I had in effect told lies. Then they agreed to pay me in lieu so I wasn't lying. However on the night, Abs was at a friends so she went on theirs. She was also on ours because I obviously didn't know she'd be out. Heather came home from work, said she was going to her boyfriends for the night so she's appearing on two as well. I do hope they don't check too thoroughly :lmao:
