I've just recommended it to a few Aussies recently too.
Naturally they hadn't heard of it but were very pleased with the prices.

I was checking up on the Bookdepository turnover, and it turns out that about 75% of their sales are from overseas. This free delivery worldwide really works very well for them.

However Amazon are much more well known here.

When we discussed this a while ago I think it was the Australian publishers who held the legal protection ultimately preventing cheaper book prices.

Be ironic if Pearson suddenly started offering lower prices which is what Borders and Angus wanted.
Of course that could have been their game plan all along.
Take out the retail shops and step in with an online business.
