Eldest son came home early from footsal yesterday as he had turned on an ankle. I offered to take him to the 24 hour medical centre as I thought he may have broken something but he decided it was not necessary as the sports centre physio reckoned he had sprained his ankle. So ice pack on and later bandaged it. Got out at noon today and it was very swollen and sore so he decided he should do something. Took him docs.....then x-ray.....then docs who confirmed he had cracked his fibula. Nurse bandaged it, got some anti inflammatory / pain killer tablets and have to go back again tomorrow. I was surprised he didn't have to have it put in plaster so guess it's not too serious. Yes, those infamous words did enter my mind "told you so". |
