Daughter's first boyfriend

My 14 year old daughter has her first boyfriend HELP!!! :kissed:

Do I need to DO anything?!! Do I need to Facebook stalk him , or do I just leave her to it? He's a boy in her year at school.

We have something in common, except my daughter turned 15 last week.

I want to buy a gun and just shoot any boys that she talks to. That's my simplistic method.
But my wife says no.

You need to keep :crossfingers: and just hope for the best.

I found that telling my daughter stories about my younger life, and how I treated the girls, may have her thinking cautiously ... at least I hope so...

When I meet them, I just stare them in the eyes, and hope they can read my mind... (I will tear you limb from limb if you harm my little girl in any way whatever, and other thoughts that I dare not mention in public)

I am just scared stiff, and hope that any boy she meets up with is nice.

Her current one, the 2nd I think, was also in her class.

Yeah, that was my husband's reaction!!! He said "I want to interrogate him at the earliest opportunity" My daughter was very unimpressed!!!

I have been told by another parent that he's a nice kid and I might have had a sneaky look at his Facebook wall  and there's no bad language on there and it all seems very innocent!! He's into tennis. He wrote a very sweet comment to my daughter on Facebook last night, so he's ok so far!!!!

It is a minefield and one I have to say I hate ! My 15 yo has had her current boyfriend for nearly a year which is very scary. Mind you, I barely let her out unless it's to go to school

The first few didn't last long, she gets bored very easily ... this one seems to be hanging around a bit more though. I think I've convinced her to look at unis in VIC though so only a few more years to go

My husband has been remarkably relaxed about the girls boyfriends. I was kind of expecting him to greet them at the door with a shotgun but he's been cool. Hell, he's even been chilled about hearing my eldest (18) moaning quite loudly whilst entertaining the boyfriend in her bedroom   His only comment to me was 'well at least he seems to know what he's doing'

Oh the joys of having kids. One more thing 'they' never mentioned when I was pregnant.

LOL, yes, well the school boyfriend / girlfriend thing might be ok......they are threatening to go to the movies!!! I have however banned her from going to see Hangover 2 as it's MA15+. Trouble is, all her friends are already 15!!!!
