Life has been whizzing past up in Darwin, next month it will be a year for us living in oz. It certainly has been a learning curve but we have no regrets. We were told on Friday that we will have to remain for a further 3 years before we can leave to a place that we can request.
This news has not been devestating as it would have been when we first arrived as then we were told it could be 2 years or 4 years max.Back then 4 years seemd like a life time, but the speed of this past year has left thinking so what another 3 years is no biggy. Gives us more time for exploring. The end of the month the males in the house get their citizenship i still have to wait the normal length of time.
Im now working as a case manager and enjoying it, its been a challenge but ive just had a performance review which was very good. My office has been through a major staffing crisis and i stuck through all the difficulties and donned me gloves to help provide personal care for my clients when the chips were down along with my office duties and covering for missing case mangers at one point had over 200 clients to care for. I was very stressed but im no quitter so just got on with it. This has been the reason for my absence in the main, that and now only having a lap top which my OH tends to hog. Ive only been able to get on facebook via my mobile.
Hope you guys are doing well
Mandy
