Sometimes I wonder... A place in Sydney is offering a 3.5 hour course in making coffee for only $316. Not sure how long it took me to learn... 2 spoons sugar, 1 spoon coffee, pour hot water, drink.... |

Abs' course cost $180 for eight hours. We were at a coffee place a while later and she sniffed my Latte, picked it up, went to the counter and told them they'd burnt the coffee and could we have a new one please! They apologised and got me another one and gave me my money back. I hadn't even tried it. |

Although I drink quite a lot of coffee it is very weak so three cups for me is probably equivalent of one to other people. I like the mild stuff and have a level teaspoon with one sugar and a nice flop of milk. Mix it all up before adding the water so I don't burn the coffee. "Dishwater" is a word often used. :D |

I have my own espresso machine and have become a bit of a coffee snob since using it. But when I got the machine it took about 10 minutes for me to make my first coffee with it. After a few brews I had the knack of it. I couldn't imagine what you would do over 3 days. I remember reading once that in Italy it can take four years to become a barista, I had to double check it wasn't a spelling mistake for barrister.
