So who is celebrating the Royal Wedding by having a Party? Yes we are and I'm really excited about it. We have invited over 40 people both Aussie and English, some are coming but some friends aren't BUT I say it's any excuse to party no matter what the theme is! Do people hate the theme so much that they would miss out on such a great party?? Anyway, who cares about them! Their loss. My Mum has posted over all the royal wedding decorations, bunting, flags, cup cake papers, tea towels and even union jack plates, cups and serviettes. The press are coming over to take photos. Hubby who is a chef is going to cook up English foods like tapas of full english breakfast, toad in the hole and spotted dick, some friends are bringing over salmon and cucumber sandwiches and jam butty rolls. We have bought Pimms, PG Tips, Digestive Biscuits, Fig Rolls, Battenberg Cakes etc etc. We're even having a Wedding Cake ... maybe a Victoria Sponge! Some people are even dressing up as Kings and Queens, Prince and Princesses!

So any ideas of things we could do to make this evening even better? Or is this enough?? LOL

I'm so excited .... :ecstatic: :dance2:

No day off for us Aussies. You can't get anything in the way of royal wedding decorations in the shops. I've been to every Partyware shop in Adelaide. Lucky Mummy sent me some over. Press coming over tomorrow to take photos.

Fame at last Michelle! :)

I will be watching the Royal Wedding...... but it will be Chaser's alternative coverage, hopefully it'll be very funny.

Having watched "the" Royal Wedding back in 1981 I just can't muster much enthusiasm for this one....

Have decided to have a party with the kids & have cucumber sandwiches & let the kids eat chocolate every time the commentators say something obvious like "Diana "or "regal"

Mr PP is going to make beef Wellington for our tea, washed down with wine and we are going to enjoy watching it on TV.

Got bad news that it clashes with our prime time NRL broadcast and will take priority. :(

The good news is the NRL will be shown on another channel at the normal time. :ecstatic:

After the local paper has printed our Royal Wedding party photo on the front page, i now have people who originally said they weren't coming to the party coming and bringing their friends too! 70 at last count!

Thanks guys. Getting nervous about the party now. I have sent an email to the abcd person above so might be on the radio. TV hasn't got in touch. I'm really getting into the Royal Wedding spirit now. Did anyone see the Wills & Kate film last night? I quite enjoyed it.

I spoke too soon yesterday. Channel 10 contacted us today and came over to interview us. We were on the news tonight. All I could see what that I had a tag hanging out of my top.
