A property price and boom story

Some years ago, I bought a house, and after about 3 years the prices had risen dramatically.
Everyone was saying that these price rises cannot go on for ever, and I sold it. Sure enough eventually the prices did drop a bit, then rose again...

I sold it for £28,000. After that it did drop at some stage, but not sure exactly when.

It last sold in 2002, for £157,500
It is currently worth £227,000...

When I said some years ago, I did mean quiet some years ago :lol:

The funny thing is, back in 1977, £28,000 was 408 weeks wages.
408 weeks wages now would be $550,000

I have gone up, I have down, and I am right back where I was :lol:

We have to have the units valued for our sale, I'm dying to see whats happened in a year. But we have decided to sell one, as they are costing us $480 per month EACH! no wonder we are so broke :D

They did an area valuation in the paper this weekend & the area we bought land in has increased 23% since we bought just over a year ago .
Sadly Matt wont sell :crazy:
