In the News today a Gold Coast family received a $250,786.60 water bill for six months ended December 2010. It's been in the papers and on the TV, but I haven't seen anyone try to explain it yet. That amount was for 96,000kl for 6 months, or 526kl per day. A pretty common water consumption is about 526 litres per day, just about 1,000 times less than theirs, or, to put it simply, lose that little letter k in the 96,000kl and make it 96,000 litres, or 96kl. I reckon I have got the error cracked  |
