I am looking into applying for a job in Perth but need to consider the cost of getting there vs the salary I'd earn and have been told it's 'Admininstration Award' I have tried to google this, found the fair pay website and tried to find the specific award but can't .. anyone, any ideas ? I don't really want to go back and look stupid :blushing:

Is this one any help ?

State Government Agencies Administration Award 2010 [MA000121]
http://www.fwa.gov.au/documents/modern_awards/award/ma000121/default.htm

Most awards are now moving over to standardised national awards (Modern Awards), away from state awards.

I did look at that one but saw that it was for State Government Agencies .. mind you, if it is that one I'd be earning practically nothing for basically full time hours as it would cost me nearly $100 to get to work each week !

In that case, you need to ask them for more details of that award, as I can't find one either.

NSW has a Clerical and Administrative Employees (State) Award.
http://www.industrialrelations.nsw.gov.au/NSW_State_Awards/Which_Award/Clerical_and_administration.html

QLD also has one, so does Victoria and Tasmania, and NT...

WA, it might have one, I found a mention of it at:
Australian Services Union Western Australia
http://www.asuwa.org/general-news/4535-asu-speaks-up-for-office-workers

Quote:

The ASU expects to make further submissions on the clerical award (and the other priority industries) between now and the end of August. In mid-September the AIRC will publish a draft of the new modern clerical, administrative and office workers award. The ASU and other interested parties will then have to make further submissions about the appropriateness of this award as a safety net.
A final award will be released later in the year for each of the priority sectors for final comments but it will not take effect until 1 January 2010.
