Did a response and it's disappeared  OK have another go. Not impressed with being on the maternity ward. Nurses and doctors were fab - most of them anyway, one or two need a refresher course on bedside manner. Not doing too bad, he did it keyhole and it took him a few hours but at least he stuck with it and didn't take the easy route (for him) and do it abdominally so recovery should be faster than I was imagining. Bruised big time where the drain was and jeez they're a bugger to pull out! That's really not a nice feeling. Also why does gas go like concrete and refuse to leave? Anyway am home, doing nothing, not even letting myself stress about the state of the kitchen. Heather's around so doing all the fetching and carrying, taxiing Abs etc, even cancelled a shift at work so I can make a doctors appointment this week. Thanks for all the good wishes. :grouphug:

Well, black and blue means the colour is returning I guess. :ooer:

See, there's always a silver lining.

Take it easy, not that you have a choice I guess. :)

Thanks for asking. Feeling complete crap today. Not so much the ache of muscles recovering just bleugh. Headache, nausea etc. If I move too much it all aches stacks obviously, if I sit for ages I feel like I'm about to lay a lead weight. Emotions are still up and down like a whore's drawers and I hate that, feeling like you're going to dissolve into tears at the drop of a hat and I really hate feeling pathetic which I do massively today.

Fricking over it.

Iron levels are good though.

Probably wish you'd not asked

Is there a colour coded avatar you can use so we know who's on the keyboard on a given day?

Still a lot of rest needed eh.

The headache and nausea doesn't sound good Pen, don't let that run on without getting it checked out. I'm sure your whores knickers will sort themselves out in time, they've been on a bit of a fast spin cycle lately and are probably a bit knotted up. Wish we could all pop in to cheer you up.

Of course I don't wish I hadn't asked  Sorry that you are feeling crap still, but glad that your iron levels are sorting out. Will you need to go onto HRT or something now? That should improve the emotions. Be kind to yourself and don't expect too much too soon :flowers:

No one's said anything about HRT so no idea. Had a call from the surgery today to tell me that my latest blood results were back, iron is ok but liver function isn't so another blood test next week and back to the doctors. I'm over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my liver function is always a bit ooer, shouldn't worry too much. I'm sure people were much off before there was so much testing going on. Ignorance is/was bliss.

your liver function tests may be a bit off cos of the anaesthetic ... can sometimes take a couple of weeks to get back on track.
hows the nausea and headahces? are you drinking lots of fluids??
the nausea/headaches/lft's sound classic post-op dehydration ... get chugging the lucozade!!

Thanks hon. I'm getting there, just mainly muscle pulling weird feelings now. Nausea and headaches gone. Still got stacks of wind which is a total pain in all respects. How can air hurt so much  I had a slight nightmare last night that they'd bunged two lots of packs up there after the op and that the nurse who removed one didn't realise. I think if they had left one in, I'd be in slightly more discomfort than I am  Back to surgeon next week for check up.

Just made me smile  Not too bad, only a few twinges below the belly button today so things are definitely getting better. Got the dressing off that last night. It looks very strange and I hate belly buttons but mine now has a little fold of skin that looks like a willy
