No only the seller pays a fee to ebay. All you pay for is what you bought and any post and packing charges. |

I'm an addict, at selling and buying. Just check their feedback before paying out any big money and if you have any probs with the item once you recieve it, contact the buyer and see if they will rectify it first, dont just leave negative feedback.... |

:nah: I dont bid on my own...just lots of other peoples  Selling is easy providing you can upload a pic and write a half way decent blurb...Just click the selling tab and it takes you through it step by step. Best piece of advice is to FILL the title line as the words are searchable....example boys size/ age 8 Billabong denim jeans, black adjustable waist.... etc, anything that you might concievably search for when looking for an item So often I see..... Boys jeans...... Amazes me how they sell anything! |

Excellent tip. When I look at eBay it's usually via the search function rather than just browsing by category. |

I so love a newbie bidder who keeps pushing the prices up  But as its you hun.... Do not bid again until the last 20 seconds (I actually do the last 10, but as you are new, I'll go easy on you  ) Then decided what your top bid actually is .....put it in the box and send (even if its 20 $ over what is currently there, the bid will just automatically go up over any other bids untill you reach your max) That way if you win for your decided price, you are happy, if you dont, another one will come up. If you keep bidding, the price just goes up and up.....you will be amazed how many people bid in the last 20 secs of auction, also how many forget and dont ;) |

I used to have two windows open in the last minute or so. One with my final bid all ready to send. The other constantly refreshing so I could watch the time count down. |

If you make a bid, early on in the piece, you now get a one click bid...no need to refresh as the count down clock is there.....you can see your increments increasing too, its fun and I'm like :yess: when I win in the last 2 seconds  |

Was for a 1960's mobylette ,just stuck it on there to see what would happen & people started bidding on it??When you are married to a man who brings home more rubbish than Steptoe ,there comes a time when you become very friendly with Ebay. |

how long is acceptable wait to receive something you paid for by paypal before you contact the seller and ask where the item is? i bought a small item and paid via paypal 10 days ago ... do i concede that due to the bank holidays there will be a delay? everything ive bought so far has come within a couple of days. seller has a 100% feedback record. blimey, been looking at property on ebay ... are they havieng a laugh or what? surely a 6 bed villa in florida is more than £40,000??? |

Watch those House sales on ebay, I was just looking at the feedback given to one property seller... Excellent seller. Item was delivered as promised. Highly recommend A MUST SEE FLORIDA HOME !! (#170446762698)US $58,600.00  This particular seller states: "For Sale by: Owner" and has sold 9 in the last 12 months. |

There is a program that you can download that will always win you a bid on e-bay. My s-i-l was annoyed at being outbid on something she really wanted and then she found this program thing. |

Sue, I always drop them a line after 7 days especially if theres been no contact. You only have 28 days to lodge a dispute if it hasnt arrived, so you need to ask them :) |

well i emailed her yesterday evening and havent heard anything back yet - should i wait til, say, weds evening and then email her again and say im going to contact ebay if i dont hear from her by friday? ive done what ebay state in their buyer confidence thing ... just that there is no time limit for what they deem as sufficient time for her to respond? its only a £2.20 bag ... not going to bother again now, its totally put me off  the businesses ive dealt with have been brilliant - had to buy 3 bits for my car and a part for my washing machine ... no probs, always delivered within aobut 48-72 hours. |

Nah...dont let it put you off, there are some very bad sellers out there, BUT there are more often than not, great ones  I'd start the proceedure with ebay now if I were you, when i do it with my NPB it ususally prompts them to do the right thing  |
