I collected my new car this morning :ecstatic:

It was sad saying goodbye to my tired and trusty old one after 15 years  it felt like a second skin and I could reverse park it with my eyes shut. :hide:

Plus the odd little ding on a bumper didn't bother me...

Now I'm reluctant to put this one in the garage... I need to go and clear some stuff and make a REALLY BIG space....

Yes it's a Hyundai Getz 5 door 1.6 - Tango Red - the new tomato colour, metallic.

I'll try to paste the screen shot I did from the online advert.

Gee it's a breeze these days buying a car isn't it? I knew what I wanted, found the Hyundai site, found all the dealerships, checked out their listings emailed and phoned and within 24 hours had test driven a 3 door locally, located two 5 door possibilities, went and saw one and Bingo!

It's just over a year old, on road 10 months, 9700 on the clock.

I'll try to paste now.

Yes thanks Hevs I'm pleased.
Mel I like the square look little hatchbacks - my old and trusty was a 1991 Ford Festiva. I don't know what it is about the Yaris but I can't find it appealing. Something about the front. Is the Mazda 2 what the Metro used to be? I liked the Metro - the square look again - easy to park I like to know where my corners are!

The reason I dont want a Getz (and I know plenty of friends who have one, love it and are very pleased with it etc) is because we have an old Hyundai Excel that causes nothing but trouble and costs money. We bought it for the teens to learn to drive and I am sure Shane has wrecked it, but anyway its just put me off getting another Hyundai car :blushing:

To be honest anything cheap, safe and reliable would be good

I really like my Hyundai

It isn't your normal Hyundai though.... Some people have mistaken it for a Merc...

You could hear me all the way to Victoria Point if i drove our Hyundai. Honestly I dont know what Shane has done to it, it use to be fine, but now sounds like a mad hoon is having a rally around Bayside. It also loses power and I am scared to drive it, and being manual is more work too.

Have a look out for it Erick, its purple and you will hear it long before you see it
