How do I tell her to stop sending me these silly texts ...

im friends with some of the other mums in the playground - one of them is one of those whose been there, done it, bought the company type of show off ... talks openly about being anorexic/bullaemic as though it were a bout of measles ... quite annoying but is a nice woman with good intentions.
Thing is, since she got my mobile number, she sends me loads of silly text messages ... some of them extremely racist (which i find quite offensive as i dont have any racist issues in me), and they are coming 3 or 4 a day now! Im debating whether to say something to the other mum she is very pally with ... she is white and her husband is black, they have mixed raced kids so i dont think she will send any of the racist ones to her - if i do say anything about them, it might upset thier friendship if she doesnt send them to her ...

what do i do? i dont want to fall out with her, but its driving me mad

Change your phone number ?

I suppose it is difficult if you want her to be able to call you, but if not....

Not sure if this works worldwide, but check it out

http://imobiletool.com/block-incoming-calls.html

The free test version only allows you to block one number, which is all you need, but the paid version allows many options.

and...
Nokia Phones: menu > settings > security settings > call baring service > incoming calls > select number to block

Friends do this to me all the time. I ignore them, when they start to annoy me too much I just text back saying thanks for thinking of me but could you please stop sending them as I never respond and find them distracting when I'm working....

Just tell her it's not really your thing and would she mind not doing it anymore, or tell her it's a pain at work as when you see an sms you immediately presume that somethings wrong with one of the kids and the childminder/school/mal are trying to contact you.

Don't get me wrong I love love love receiving texts that say something personal, but "chain texts"like your my best friend send this to a million other people (who you can p##s off as well) and see if you get it back (Just so you feel loved!) is all a bit to grade 7 for me. If you send me a text saying I was thinking of you today and.....blah blah...then it makes my day.

You get sentences? Hell I wish I did. Abs sends me a text saying 630 or 9 and if she says 630 dad it means that Kevan has to pick her up at 6:30 because she's got her bike! Don't send it to me then, send it to your dad!!!!!! At work yesterday I got a message saying 'bike pines' That meant she was riding her bike to the local mall. I love her, I really do

She even uses apostrophes in her texts, and not only to me. I taught her well  Not bad for a 13 year old today.
