I did a party on Saturday and the lady requested that I do a raffle with the money going towards a cancer charity. She wasn't bothered which one but, to be honest, I don't know which is the main one. At my cancer fundraisers I normally just give the money to the host. Does anyone know the main one in Oz with a website ? Thank you |

The McGrath one was the one that sprung to mind with me too. There is also the Cancer Council of Australia I think the name is, they do the daffodil fundraising thing every year. |

McGrath or Cancer Council are the main ones. They are plenty of other little charities, but they tend to feed the bigger ones with a bit taken out for admin. The McGrath Foundation was set up by Jane McGrath, Glen McGraths wife, she died of breast cancer a couple of years ago. Her charity provides specialist breast cancer nurses in public hospitals. A bit like Macmillan nurses in the UK. The Cancer Council deal with all forms of cancers and help in lots of different ways. |

It just depends if you want specifially breast cancer or all cancers? Personally I think breast cancer get so much recognition AND support now that I'd go with the Cancer council who give to research for all cancers, but thats just me :S |
