I have vague recollections about hearing of a squirt of lemon juice. Not sure if that's right though. |

Lol, yes lemon juice works  Instead of making a fruit salad recently when we were going to a bbq, I did a fruit platter, with cherries, grapes, small plums, sliced nectarines, melon etc and just arranged it all nicely on a platter. It looked good and people could just pick up the fruit they wanted to eat, so nice and informal and easy  |

Not sure if lemon juice would last until the next day though, not unless it's soaked in it and that defeats the purpose  I'd do a platter like Mel suggests, then it's a simple slice up (leaving skin, rind etc on) and pretty display and off you go. The ones we do at work all get left with the outside on, just washed so there's something to hold. Then just do a quick greek yogurt with honey dip.

Lol, just pop to Coles and buy a few tins of ready made fruit salad - that will give them something to talk about  |

I usually make a ton of fruit salad ( my kids adore it) so when i do it, i pour orange juice over it, then a generous squirt of lemon juice. keep it chilled and it will be fine the next day. |

Yep plenty juice, my kids like to drink it so maybe you could put the juice in a jug before you leave if you like the salad dry, or better still take it with you and add some vodka/bacardi etc...just for the grown-ups of course. |

I make fruit salad and I use all the fresh fruits and then sling in a tin of chopped pineapple and a touch of lime juice and it gives it that zing. I never put banana in it though. |
