Anyone doing anything different? or having a big family doo? We are doing what we do every year..... pressies, brekkie then off to the beach, then spend the afternoon lazing about and eating turkey. We were going to spend boxing day at my parents but they have been invited to my brothers for chrissy day so wont be back home till the 27th. Then we'll see the New Year in at the Greyhound Racing, I'm working there forom 6-9 then we'll stay on for the fireworks at midnight. |

Sounds like a perfect Christmas Lynn  We are going to the same friends for the third year running, its great, lots of friends together, everyone brings some food and drinks. Kids (and adults) play with their new toys and in the pool. All in all its a very relaxing day. I have offered to have it here as feel guilty as the same friend hosts it every year, but she says she loves having it, so hope I will get off as lightly as I did last year as only had to bring a potato bake and a pavlova. Best of all Shane can drive us all home, as he has his full licence this year and according to him, all the adults at the party last year were disgustingly drunk  so I told him that as he was so disgusted by that, he could stay sober and drive us home  On Boxing Day we are going to another friends house, again bring some food and drink, and these friends are walking distance  I am not working again until Dec 28th, so will be off all over Christmas to enjoy myself  |

Don't know really. As we have absolutely no pressies to open (the clothes shopping I did in the UK was it) I've not bothered to put our proper tree up. I have a small china tree that lights up and I've hung a couple of baubles on my decorative twigs  But it defintiely be strange with no Alex to get us going, no small children around, no pressies to open. I guess we might go to the beach for champagne, have a brunch at my sister's that I'll take (don't want to eat a full meal there with anally incontinent dogs about :yuck: ), then maybe come home and have a seafood lunch. Webcam to the UK later then drinks with friends in the evening, means one of us will have to drive though. We have had offers from friends to go round there, and I'm not feeling miserable just think it may be a little difficult watching other families together while it's just us. Just had a though, I might get a whole stack of Chrismassy type movies for Terry and I to watch on the day. But those are only vague plans, I guess we'll just take the day as it comes and do what we feel at the time. :mistletoe: |

We will be on our own this year as no family can afford to come over yet and we haven't been here long enough to make any new friends. So this year we are billy no mates. If it's not tooooo hot we will probably head down to the beach with ham butties, then a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings...mmmmmmm....can't wait |

No plans at all, will take the day as it comes, depends on the weather etc etc. Wierd really as when we lived in the UK making plans for Christmas probably took us a couple of months !! On Boxing day we're off down south for a couple of nights camping, I must be mad, but Debs is down there so we thought it was a good idea at the time !!! |

Chill out day, opening pressies, Heather's boyfriend coming round then going again, light lunch, chilling and then up to the revolving restaurant in Surfers for Twilight buffet, so should see the sunset over the mountains and the lights of the goldie coming on. As for NYE, no idea, Abs wants to go to a friends for a sleepover, Kevan will probably want to be in bed by 9. I'd like to go to Q1 for the fireworks (bloody tall building in Surfers) but if it's just me then that's pathetic. May ask Heather and Luke if they fancy coming up just for the last hour and the fireworks. On the other hand might just stay at home and hate NYE as much as I ever do   |

Not a lot planned. Kids will all be here chilling out in the new pool if the rain holds off and we can get it ready in time. We will slob around eating and playing with presents and doing not much else all day. I have a turkey to cook as usual and we have the traditional dinner unless it is too silly temperatures. We have friends over form the 28th to the 30th which will be great as we haven't seen them for ages. Time to chill out and relax after a hectic year. Merry Christmas everyone xx |
